Or even this version:
Sonic '06 might have been the nadir of the franchise (Not played Sonic Boom though), but this music was great.

One of the rare cases were the music in the level is arranged FAR better than the OST version. I love the adding of the melody as the stage progress

When I first played Ristar, that music was stuck in my head for days. Great stuff.

Surprised this doesn't get mentioned that much. One of my favorite tracks from the game.
I always thought that this soundtrack was underrated. This song though, is FAR ahead of the others.
Best ending theme ever imo.

I know a lot of people prefer the Genesis version, but NHL 94's SNES theme is better than most sports shows on TV:
Galaga's main theme always gives me the warm fuzzies inside:
"Super Locomotive" (and "Daley Thompson's Decathlon") basically stole Yellow Magic Orchestra's "Rydeen":
Martin Galway's "Arkanoid" theme on C64 is still amazing in 2015. I wouldn't be surprised if it was sampled in some hip hop beat:
Speaking of C64, holy crap at the amazing soundtrack to DELTA, which borrows heavily from Philip Glass's "Koyaanisqatsi":
