I've always loved this song and I think it's quite beautiful.
Now I know my music, but I'm at a loss as to where to start to find more like this.
Obviously there's an orchestra and a harpsichord being used and piano, and I'm not familiar with classical music much outside of pop music. Would that be the direction to go?
What style of classical? Or artists?

Maybe check out some early British prog/folk?
Here's a song by The Nice that mixes Bob Dylan with classical music (keyboard player Keith Emerson would go on to 70's stardom in Emerson, Lake & Palmer)
EDIT: maybe it wasn't the best suggestion, but it was the first with classical that I found looking on my shelf. Maybe try some early Moody Blues? Fairport Convention?

The harpsichord and orchestral arrangement suggest a Baroque influence. Are you looking for classical, or more of an influence in contemporary/pop music?

There's a fair amount of Bach that has the orchestral and harpsichord use in it. The Brandenburg Concertos come to mind immediately. As for pop music, I'm not certain...that's really beyond my scope of knowledge in contemporary music.

They're a bit heavier than Tiny Tim, but maybe the Kinks?

Can we make this an official thread for looking for other music?

Thanks for the feedback. I've noticed a harpsichord in Monkees songs and Elton John's first album, so it was a mid to late 60s thing. I know Richard Perry was behind it as well so I'm going to check his other work too from that time.
I have been checking out some classical too, it's great to hear some things to mellow out with

I'd suggest checking out "Boulders" by Roy Wood. It has work has more of a classical and folk bent than his stuff with The Move or Wizzard. (His later solo stuff is also really good, but it's heavy on the 50s rock and roll influence.) ELO's debut album, "No Answer," might also fit the bill. It's much more chamber music inspired than their later, more radio friendly, material. It's also the only ELO record to feature Wood, which explains a lot. Can we make this an official thread for looking for other music? I'm all for that.

You might like The Moody Blues. Their work from the 60s-70s is really top notch.
Their most well known song:

This is what most would call baroque pop. Heavy use of harpsichord or organ, slower tempo (usually), etc...
