Gorilla Monsoon often said it was. Was it?

It is indeed a happening. The fans will literally be hanging one day from the rafters,

Yes, and you don't need eyes on the external occipital protuberance to see that.

You can't expect to beat a guy Jess with such a nonchalant cover.

Every time you could cut the electricity in the air with a knife, it was a Happening.

I remember the Apter Mags giving Monsoon a lot criticism, saying he was terrible and all that. However, most fans who grew up listening to him will say he was one of the all-time greats.

It's only a happening if they are literally hanging from the rafters.

I think the earlier days with the 80s boom and into the early 90s were surely a "happening." Once some of the popular 80s names started leaving, the steroid scandal came about and business was down, then it stopped being a happening.

It is indeed.
I love Monsoon. Whenever I watch an old episode of Prime Time, there's always a few moments that make me laugh so hard, I can feel that I'm about to tear my intercostal cartilage.

It was definitely a happening when it became Suplex City and someone went home with the winner's share of the purse money.

How can it not be a happening? I mean, Iron Mike Sharpe vs. Koko B. Ware is a main event everywhere in the country, and that's just the opener- imagine later on the card!

The only time it's not a happening is when you won't be serious.

Did he in fact give Bret the nickname "The Excellence of Execution"? I always thought he did.
I was so sad when he died. He seemed like such a gentle and caring man-I always wished he was my neighbor. Random I know, but I don't think I ever thought that about anyone else.

He said so often that "[Bret] has excellence of execution", it just became his nickname by proxy. You know who else he said that about a lot? Greg Valentine. But, he was already "The Hammer".
