Del Rio. From the first time he was on SmackDown, I knew he would be a big deal.

The Rock. Yes they tried to force from the get go but for some reason something screamed future star/World champ.. This - a thousand times, this. I remember thinking, "What in hell are you doing here? You belong in movies, and not the DTV shit, either." I couldn't help but think that the Blue Chipper gimmick was some kind of joke on us to get us to boo him.

I did see Luke Harper a ton before he got signed, but you could also tell that Colin Delaney, even though he was in the WWE for a cup of coffee, had something about himself. I kinda wish he'd get a second look.

Surprised this little midweight I saw on SportsChannel Chicago one night became an international star still going strong, almost 25 years ago.
Some guy named Christopher Daniels.

There was something in Deacon Batista that seemed like he was going to be more than D'Von's follower.

Kurt Angle when he debuted in the fall of 1999
The way he carried himself, the explosive moves, the look...I was sure he'd become HUGE

Lesnar
When he first appeared and killed Spike Dudley. I think about a week later he killed Molly Holly too.

I remember seeing Steve Austin when he was just starting out in Texas(can't remember if it was with the GWF or USWA or what promotion it was), but I could tell that he was going to make it. I never would have guessed that he'd be one of the biggest stars in wrestling history but I knew that he was going to the big time.

watching Prince Devitt slowly come into his own, then seeing him do the body painting, and start Bullet Club. I knew if he ever got a chance at WWE he would be big. One of those few that women cheer because he's hot, and the "straight" men cheer b/c he comes off as cool. This generations Jeff Hardy.
Same goes for Moxley, I knew if he toned down his Heath Ledger's Joker schtick and develop his own thing he'd be a big star. In fairness though first time I ever saw him cut a promo as part of Switchblade Conspiracy I was hooked.

Literally saw Apollo Crews' first match. Knew he'd be a mega-star even then.

What the Network doesn't show is the Chris Adams wrestling school commercials that were all over those USWA shows. That Adams/"Steve Williams" feud went on forever, but it was a good one.

The first time I saw Steve Austin wrestle was when he beat Bobby Eaton for the TV title, and even if I didn't realize just how big he'd become, I knew he was going to go far.
But the only two guys who I've ever thought were absolute sure fire "Top guy in the business" material from the second I saw them were Brock Lesnar and the Rock.
