He could stop injuring people. That'd help. Swagger "injuring" people was usually some "shit happens" moment. If he were that bad, the whole roster would be in traction. That's at least 3 confirmed guys he's injured so far, and the "shit happens" thing sure as hell didn't apply to the Ziggler concussion. He almost ended his career.

But the Ziggler thing worked out for the best. If it wasn't for the concussion, the Ziggler/Del Rio double turn would've never happened. And Barrett just has really bad luck.

Hard for me to believe it was for the best for Dolph to have a serious brain injury just so he can set up 1 match.

Seth Rollins hurt at least 2 people this year..

I'm not saying he should be the top guy right now, but would it kill the promotion to have him win one feud!

Well he did win his feud with Bo Dallas (fall 2014 after Rusev feud)if beating Bo Dallas in a feud counts. It was also strictly a TV feud as they couldn't even be bothered to blow it off on PPV instead doing it on Raw with Swagger winning in like 5 minutes or something, so I guess it's pretty easy to forget.

The pot bust rules out Japan I assume? Shame if so, he could reinvent himself as a gaijin bullyboy character, mic skills not needed and probably best place (outside of WWE) for money. I don't think it was a felony so he wouldn't be stopped by the US. I know Japan is strict on that though. As for Swagger, it is weird, I should like the guy. Good look, good wrestler, and not marbled mouthed on the mic but there is just something missing, something that just makes him hard to like. Now as for his current booking, wasn't it rumored he was leaving WWE when his deal expires? If so I could see him getting moved from Superstars to job on RAW to try and kill his value to other companies. Marble-mouthed, no, but that lisp is very distracting when he's trying to cut a serious promo. Sounds like a 6 year old talking while his adult front teeth are growing and he's not used to it yet.

I like Swagger a lot, but that's just not the case.

They had a good gimmick for him, as a tea party militant and it was culturally relevant at the time. Had they expanded it, and recruited new members, it could have been a formidable faction, but that Glenn Beck bullshit derailed them. Instead of breaking character, they should have run with it and had Zeb and Jack accuse Beck of being a "bleeding heart liberal". I LOVE this idea so much. At the risk of getting too political, part of the issue though is that WWE is a Republican organisation, which meant they could never push the gimmick as far as it should really go.

I mean they had JBL act as a George W Bush surrogate on their program for a long time. I think they just don't want to piss of their republican viewers by exaggerating their views.

Personally I have never seen anything in Swagger that would make me say that he could be pushed hard.
He is too skilled to be a big bruiser yet he's shaped like a truck. He can wrestle but not on the level of the best wrestlers in the company. So he is an in-between performer who may possess some skils and he's big but he's not a total package wrestler like Brock. Furthermore he doesn't have Cesaro's creativity.
Speaking of which, Cesaro is everything that Swagger should be but he's not: creative, agile, super-strong and doing great wrestling moves.
Hell Cesaro has like 5 great finishers, Swagger doesn't even have a decent one.

I am not interested in cheering for a character who's gimmick is based on "I'm a racist tea party guy".

I am not interested in cheering for a character who's gimmick is based on "I'm a racist tea party guy". Except for the fact that the racist/tea party elements have pretty much been eliminated since his face turn.

Guy is just cashing cheques and waiting for his contract to end so he can begin MMA training to go carve out a niche in Bellator. The problem with Swagger is the same problem Lashley faced, he needed a proper manager from day 1. Guy looks like a beast, can wrestle with the best of them but he can't cut a promo, but he shouldn't have to, he's never going to be the Rock, he's going to be the guy who goes out there and throws people around while a heel manager cackles, unfortunately they only realised this when he was already damaged goods and to make matters worse, when things started to work for him, they took it away like Cesaro.
