It feels like you could've deleted the link and the message would've stayed the same. Seriously why do people keep goving him traffic to just say it sucks?

In fact, other than the complete verbal slap in the face he made to the critics who don't like the skits stuff, I liked the Christmas With The Cranks review.

It feels like you could've deleted the link and the message would've stayed the same. Seriously why do people keep goving him traffic to just say it sucks? Because it's necessary to draw attention to themselves as fans from when it didn't suck. DUH! Other examples include Saturday Night Live, the Simpsons, South Park, Community, etc. ad nauseum... "Walker doesn't nitpick movies the way I want! WAHHHHH!" If they're convinced a product has gone downhill, they could just, I dunno, not watch, particularly when it's a web series dedicated to nitpicking entertainment. It's presented free, with no obligation on the audience's part to view it. I guess I don't have high enough standards for free entertainment to get pissy about a perceived lack of quality in the content, or content at all. My subscription to League of Super Critics is still on my YouTube account, but I've long since stopped receiving notifications of new content. But, ya know...I don't pay for it. Until such a time as I'm a subscriber, putting out money or sexual favors for content and content not being delivered, I really need to check my sense of entitlement at the door, yes?

You hadn't read my response to that first comment yet, have you. I gave a reason why I still follow them. So let me quote what I said so you don't mistake me for being a person who needlessly complains of things. It is not a case of entitlement. I am still a fan of his, but I do expect better than the need to do an entire episode based on skits instead of reviewing the movie with clips to punctuate your point. It's like Nickelback. I was once a fan of there's, but a some point, they decided to go with what they believe sells (or in the NC's case, gets the most views) instead of what's for the best.

Sooo, I take it he's still doing the skit thing.
Does he do it more often than not now?

How are the odds of him making an Adventure Time joke considering one of the main character's name is Finn?

I haven't watched a Critic review since Ernest Scared Stupid (although, someone linked me his reviews of his own movies and I watched most of those, I suppose) but I'll still click on these threads from time to time to see what's up since that used to be such a routine part of my internet existence.
It's a bummer sometimes.

I mean, I guess I can understand why he's covering The Force Awakens? It's not any less "I'm trying to stay relevant", but I get it.

From what I understand his current reviews get many times the amount of hits that legitimate nostalgic stuff does. From a money standpoint, that makes a ton of sense.
That said, I'd way rather see something like his Hammerman review from sometime back. I enjoyed that one a lot.
But I'll just do what I always do when one comes out that doesn't interest me, not watch.

Never seen a Doug review I didn't like, so I'm looking forward to seeing this.

It's a bummer sometimes. I feel the same. I stopped watching a couple of years ago, but if I see a review that potentially seems interesting, I'll check out the thread. Though most of the time it seems to be skit-oriented and not worth watching. On the other side of the spectrum, there's AVGN, who while he does have skit based episodes sprinkled in, they're mostly straightforward and to the point, which is why I keep watching.

Why? What is there to be said?
Recreating the movie with your people in place of the actors isn't really a joke.

I wonder if these clipless reviews is so he can release these episodes on DVD. Of course, there are plenty of Public Domain films he could do if that was the case.

Based on the review of it he already did, it's probably going to be 45 minutes of STOP PRAISING IT YOU FOOLS, IT'S THE SAME AS THE FIRST ONE!!! Was saying he liked the movie but he sounded genuinely pissed through most of the review. Anyway, another NC I won't be watching then. I keep waiting for one of interest, since I do still find him funny sometimes, but I haven't watched one since I think Haunted Mansion.

He can't use Disney clips because Disney takes down monetized content using their footage without permission. It's why Disneycember just used trailer footage, still images and generic background music instead of movie soundtracks like he used to.

I haven't paid attention to him in months. Since I saw the thread, I checked to see what it would be. Not surprised and it's part of why I'm done with him.
