Why? What is there to be said? Recreating the movie with your people in place of the actors isn't really a joke. Probably a pretty fun way to make money from a lot of people on the internet though

I wonder if these clipless reviews is so he can release these episodes on DVD. Of course, there are plenty of Public Domain films he could do if that was the case. He can't use Disney clips because Disney takes down monetized content using their footage without permission. It's why Disneycember just used trailer footage, still images and generic background music instead of movie soundtracks like he used to. Seems like there are two easy solutions to that problem - just don't put Disney reviews on Youtube, or stop doing Disney reviews. It's better than doing these reenactments no one seems to like.

On one hand, I feel bad for him because no one should ever have to be this creatively bankrupt.
On the other hand, there's sweet internet money to be made.

Youtube is where the money is made. I have ad blocker so I don't even know if the video player they use on site has ads or not.

Screenwave has ads, yes, and there are other people on the site who use it as their primary and make money off of it combined with Patreon - SF Debris comes to mind, he doesn't put his stuff on Youtube at all and he gets by alright. Plus even if not putting it on Youtube's not an option, then just don't review Disney stuff. Shouldn't be that hard to avoid doing.

Everyone loves Disney, (even haters) they bring in the views brother!

They wouldn't do this if it didn't get them a lot of views, which they do. In turn that means there IS an audience that likes the skits. Why should they stop when there's still plenty of other people still enjoying their work?

Seems he's roped Brad into this(although it kind of started with the Passion of the Christ episode).

Well in the case of SF Debris he pretty much has to avoid Youtube, as his main draw is his Star Trek reviews and Star Trek is of course owned by Paramount and their parent company Viacom are the undisputed kings of the Youtube copyright strike/take down.

Yeah, he has two strikes on his YouTube account. That's why he went to Blip in the first place, and is now on Screenwave. I assume he makes a good amount from Patreon as well.

I guess I don't have high enough standards for free entertainment to get pissy about a perceived lack of quality in the content, or content at all. My subscription to League of Super Critics is still on my YouTube account, but I've long since stopped receiving notifications of new content. But, ya know...I don't pay for it. Until such a time as I'm a subscriber, putting out money or sexual favors for content and content not being delivered, I really need to check my sense of entitlement at the door, yes? Have you considered following the Channel Awesome YouTube channel? He's been uploading all of his stuff on there instead of it going onto the "League of Super Critics" channel for a while, now.

Will it require sexual favors? Cuz, ya know...I'd consider it.
