Yes, this is it, the thread where we remember those sketch shows that few remember, for example....
This pre The State MTV sketch show with a familiar face, The Idiot Box.
The pre Mr Show HBO sketch show Hardcore TV, which until recently you got ECW results, here's a few clips. (some language warnings)
Lets see where this goes.

I liked The Edge on FOX and the short lived House of Buggin on FOX. Hardcore TV is fun so happy I found the complete run on DVD.

UCB was a lot of fun, though perhaps not all that obscure. I love those people and pop hard when they turn up in movies.

Thanks a bunch.

Exit 57 with Paul Dinello, Amy Sedaris & someone else. I can't remember who it was. They must have had a pretty brief career.

SIFL! AND! OLLY! SIFL AND OLLY SHOW!!! Olly: Next caller. Caller: I think these Squirrel Zappers are so inhumane. Olly: My friend, what about electric dog fences? What about the fact that squirrels are responsible for 70% of all deaths? Caller: No, they're not. Olly: But they are. They are actually. Sifl: Yeah, I've had serious problems with squirrels. Olly: Why would we be lying if we were on television? I think we need to talk to Precious Roy. Precious Roy: THIS IS PRECIOUS ROY. And I listen to the Indigo Girls. Olly: No, Precious, what about these squirrel zappers? Precious Roy: You guys smell like old soup. SUCKERS.

In the 2000s, there was Kelsey Grammer presents The Sketch Show, based on an English show. Starred Paul F. Tompkins, Kaitlyn Olson (Dee from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and others. And it was painfully unfunny, and felt like a show made 10 years earlier.
VH1 had Acceptable TV, which allowed the audience to vote on which sketch they liked, and the ones with the most votes would continue the following week. Featured a young Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland (of Rick and Morty fame).

Was an Edge watcher myself, anything that gets Julie Brown airtime is worth watching. That, and a pre-SpongeBob Tom Kenney, who was a pretty well-known up-and-coming comic at the time. (He just did "Shakes The Clown" with his childhood friend, Bobcat Goldthwait.)

I remember The Dana Carvey Show.
There were a couple of funny dudes named Stephen on it. I think it was Carell and Colbert or something like that.
I wonder what ever became of them.
