I've soured a lot on Caitlyn Jenner for falling into the trap of internalized transphobia with a lot of the cis-normative stuff she's said lately. But I think her speech at the ESPY's was great and very much needed to be said. See, my problem with her ESPY speech is that it was a totally manufactured moment. She only "won" the ESPY because her reps told ABC/ESPN that she wouldn't do the exclusive interview unless she got the Arthur Ashe award. Granted, an ESPY award is on par with the WWE IC Title in terms of legitimacy, but knowing that her great speech and big moment was a backroom deal kinda takes a little bit of luster off of the moment for me personally. Is there a source for this? Because that's the first I've ever heard of that.

Suicide Squad got a lot of flack throughout the year, but every single thing I've seen from it looks really good. I'm totally on board with this one.

I enjoyed Avengers: Age of Ultron a lot. Not my favourite Marvel movie by any stretch but it wasn't as bad as people like to make it out to be. Excited to see how the Russos handle Infinity War. I think the reason it took as much flak as it did is because it had to follow Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which was one of Marvel's best films. People didn't want to go back to Joss Whedon's campy style after that.

The Geico Peter Pan ad is good. The only thing bad is that it is played EVERY HOUR!

I liked Age of Ultron, too. Didn't realize it was considered that polarizing. I really dug James Spader's voice acting for Ultron in particular. And Elizabeth Olsen was a good Scarlet Witch even if they retconned her and Quicksilver's origins (and their Jewish/Romani heritage) because of copyright bullshittery with Fox. Which affected the comics, too.

The Geico Peter Pan ad is good. The only thing bad is that it is played EVERY HOUR! The kid played a little asshole in Wet Hot American Summer and he was good, so I don't mind the commercial.

I feel the same way about some of the Progressive ads. Some are pretty amusing (like the ones that make fun of after-school specials with the out of tune music) but they're also played like, every 15 minutes.

Having enjoyed it at the cinema and then enjoyed it on bluray, both times just as much as the original, I'd say Age of Ultron as well.
A bit of an odd one as the critic reviews were still pretty decent, just not as warm, but some of the online response was downright vicious to it. It may only truly be polarising in certain sections of the Net, but, me, I loved it.

I thought this was fun and inoffensive. I think when all is said and done it will go down as the best use of Ronda in a movie. At the height of her power, as herself, without anything nearly as cringe inducing as her stuff in Expendables 3 or Furious 7. I'm really curious to see how the We Hate Movies plays out. Definitely not one I'd have chosen for the worst 4 or 5 of 2015, at any rate. If this was a thread for 2016 I'd mention 50 Shades of Black! If Haunted House 1 or 2 are any indication that movie will be very entertaining. And as to the first post, as much as it's garbage (and it is garbage) I'd be lying if I didn't say there were parts of Home that are endearing as f*** (anything with Red Balloon, any of the Slushious scenes, the Dancing in the Dark and Towards The Sun scenes). Movie's still garbage, though.

I never thought I would like Justin Bieber's music but he proved me wrong this year. Can't say I'm a big fan of the man himself but the music is certainly improving.
Also Mojo Rawley. He's fine for what he is. I have a feeling he could become massively annoying if he ever made it to the main roster though.

Since they were still things more or less in '15, Melissa McCarthy, Rebel Wilson, and Meghan Trainor?

Nah, Rebel Wilson still sucks.
Now I have to endure her on BT adverts, including a hideous one where she (via terrible SFX) does the splits.
