He must get paid really well to listen to that guy bloviate on such a regular basis. That's not to say that he never says any dumb things himself, but good lord does Bayless go way out of bounds sometimes.

Skip is like the kid in school who hangs around the top students in a sad attempt to fit in with them.

That's not to say that he never says any dumb things himself, but good lord does Bayless go way out of bounds sometimes. Skip Bayless also never threatened a professional athlete while on live television. What's fascinating about Bayless' career trajectory is that while he was a columnist with The Dallas Times Herald and The Dallas Morning News, he was regarded as one of the best sports writers not only in Texas, but in the country. His coverage of the Southern Methodist University football team and the scandals that led to the team receiving the Death Penalty are revered among fellow sports reporters and columnists. Somewhere along the line, he sold his soul for dollar signs with the Worldwide Leader in Sports and threw his integrity out the window in the name of ratings. But the Skip Bayless that existed before First Take is a fantastic sports writer.

But the Skip Bayless that existed before First Take is a fantastic sports writer. They showed a clip on the Bills 30 for 30 where Skip was defending them, he was saying "If you don't want the Bills to be in the Super Bowl, somebody has to beat them." While others such as Mike Lupica were pissed that the Bills got back, and even wanted to ban them, Skip was pointing out that they won the AFC, they earned the trips to the Super Bowl, don't get mad at Buffalo for winning the AFC.

I think it started with LeBron James when he was his biggest hater on ESPN.

As pathetic as Bayless is, Stephen A. - with his repulsive views on domestic violence and women in general - is even worse.

I don't believe that the Panthers are frauds in any way what so ever, but you're going to be hard pressed to convince me why Arizona isn't going to the Superbowl out of the NFC. Playoff randomness.

Giant player got ejected near the end of the SNF game. So much for the view of Giants doing things the right way and OBJ was an isolated incident.

He's 64 years old, read a few months back he'll get around $4 million per year when his contract is up. That's a sweet gig for just talking sports. From all accounts, he does work hard, it's too bad he's a blowhard.

Yeah, at some point I would just feel too stupid to show up for work if I said some of the things he said. I used to like him as the counterbalance to Woody Paige back when they just got multiple segments of Cold Pizza.

"I LIKE SKIP BAYLESS. HE IS A VERY GOOD FRIEND OF MINE. BUT BETWEEN THIS AND HIS ANALYSIS OF DA-WIGHT HOWARD, I CANNOT TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY AS A COMMENTATOR ANYMORE!"
Stephen A. Smith probably.

Eh, his constant Andrew Luck bashing soured me forever on Bayless. Don't you mean Andrew LOCK, as in sure-fire, first time, Hall of Fame lock? Yeah, I think he is more obnoxious about Luck than he ever was about LeBron (and he was pretty obnoxious about him, too). I think it is pretty telling that the only thing Stephen A. responded to one of his diatribes against Luck earlier this year was "UNLEASH!!!!" Seriously, for someone that can be so high on Tebow and not be high on Luck is just baffling, especially before this season happened.

Kobe's rape allegation gave him the street cred he needed, and Greg Hardy should be released while I film a promotion for Mayweather.

I know you don't want AJ McCarron airing it out in Denver all night, but the Bengals have gone away from most of what was working in the first half. Going super conservative and then getting too cute when they need short yardage. Like they're trying to hang on instead of go for the win.
