Why would any of us be concerned with WWEs rating success? Unless they pay you. Because low ratings mean that come their next contract negotiations, USA can offer them even less, and that's in no way good for the company. If you live abroad or in a market they wouldn't likely tour if times were super lean, you should definitely care about WWE doing well, because less money means less risks and a much more narrow focus. It means panic booking, greater network interference (USA is the reason that the Authority came back after Survivor Series last year), the safest possible answer to everything (and that means John Cena everywhere and unambiguously on top), and a drop in production values. Maybe even pushing featured wrestlers to work hurt or messing with their pay as rumours went around about right after the WWE Network launched. A WWE with less money means they'll be cutting costs, and that could well means developmental, which isn't designed to be a profitable part of the company, starts being dismantled and downgraded. And considering how plenty of people find NXT to be the best thing WWE is putting out by a country mile, nobody should want that to happen.

You'll live a much happier life if you stop worrying about things you have no control over.

You'll live a much happier life if you stop worrying about things you have no control over. So stop worrying about what we care about. You have no control over it. Move right along then.
