and by retires I mean Shawn Michaels retired. I hope he has his last match for the IC Championship just so he can say he did it 10 times. Then he vacants it the next night and we have an IC tournament.

Nothing like making the IC Title look great by a Guy winning it just to retire and give it up and throw it into a Tournament!
I love Jericho, he's an easy Hall of Famer, but the Intercontinental Title doesn't need that, frankly, it needs to be built back up, not handed to Jericho to throw away.
Now a Thank You run where he can win it to put over a Younger Talent? Maybe. But not win and give up for a Tournament, that is the last thing it needs...

I think more guys need a definite retirement in wrestling. Jericho, Undertaker, Rock, Austin (at least one last storyline) all deserve one. However, guys like Triple H probably won't have one since they'll be on TV for a long time to come.

I think he needs a good few months long reign and then to "pass the torch" in a title/retirement match at 'Mania..

Don't even need Undertaker pinned. I just want to use the big Mania to close off the use of parttimers from the Artitude Era. Probably better to use these guys to put over a couple of younger stars.

It did happen in regards to Jericho.
Attitude Era Jericho put over PG era Fandango at Wrestlemania 29.
Oh....
Were we suppose to forget that?

I wouldn't mind him having a 6 month credible reign and drop a title to someone like Sami Zayn at Wrestlemania.
Use him to build up a younger guy while retiring with one last great feud and match.

Isn't 9 already the record? Yeah, by 3 or 4 reigns too.

You dont need the i.c. title whoever wins should get rufus of jericho personal security. You could even put him on a pole or a ladder of match of some kind.

I wouldn't mind if his final run was an angle where he's chasing the IC Title, but ultimately falls short. It'd make the belt look important to have a guy like him making a big deal of trying to win it.
