This is the big question folks. Will he add onto his legacy and tie, or even tie, lose and then regain it for #17. Here's a look back at each World Championship won by John Felix Cena. #1 (Wrestlemania 21) - 280 Days #2 (Royal Rumble 2006) - 133 Days #3 (Unforgiven 2006) - 380 Days #4 (Survivor Series 2008) - 84 Days #5 (Wrestlemania 25) - 21 Days #6 (Breaking Point 2009) - 21 Days #7 (Bragging Rights 2009) - 49 Days #8 (Elimination Chamber 2010) - <1 Day #9 (Wrestlemania 26) - 84 Days #10 (Extreme Rules 2011) - 77 Days #11 (Raw - July 2011) - 20 Days #12 (Night of Champions 2011) - 14 Days #13 (Wrestlemania 29) - 133 Days #14 (Hell in a Cell 2013) - 49 Days #15 (Money in the Bank 2014) - 49 Days #16 ( ) - Days???

I never want to see Cena near the WWE Championship again.
I'd take a decade long Roman Reigns title reign ahead of another Cena title win.
It's been 10 years, move on WWE.

Only with an accompanying heel turn. Then I'd be all in.

Paranoid about his spot, heel Cena could be interesting if they're really going all in with Reigns.

Increasingly getting desperate, HHH "recruits" Cena. HHH threatens Cena saying, he use to be the face of the company, you are the guy that does all the charity appearances, now THIS guy (points at Reigns), will take that all away from you. Makes him delusional, and at Wrestlemania 32 you have Roman Reigns vs. "Corporate" John Cena. SOLD!

Flair's 16 World Championship reigns will always mean more because it spanned across 3 separate wrestling promotions (NWA, WWF, WCW). Considering Cena, he can't really be a "world champion" if he's been working for a single company for the last 15 years.
Hell, this is why they gave Jericho the Undisputed Championship in 2001 because he literally wrestled around the world... Mexico, Japan, Europe, ECW, WCW, WWE.... His credentials make him a better candidate as a "World" champion. But these days, titles don't mean much. You have multiple champions with reigns shorter than 10 minutes now. It's degraded the title.

Only way I'd be on board with a face Cena championship reign is if he did an Open Challenge on Raw like he did for the US Title.
But I'd be lying if I said I didn't prefer a heel Cena with the championship though.

I'm going to assume WWE will want to do Reigns and Cena at Wrestlemania 32 (because I am also going to assume Cena will be facing Undertaker at Wrestlemania 31). I'm also going to assume the WWE title will be involved, and Cena will be the one defending it.

He still has one great run in him which would be from a heel turn. Will that happen in 16, I can't really say.

Cena's 15 titles reigns look a lot less impressive when you note that half of them lasted less than two months.
And no, I don't need to see Cena holding the title again, heel or otherwise.

Honestly, the t-shirt for a 16th title in 2016 would probably be really cool.

Flair's numbers are just as inflated if not more so then Cena's. Flair benefitted greatly from hotshot booking to up his title count late in his career.

Looking at those reigns outside of the first three he had, he is pretty much the definition of transitional champion, no?

Cena: Roman, I respect you and your accomplishments, but I'm the Face that Runs the Place and you're just a big, ugly puppy!
Cole: I never realized Roman was a big, ugly Puppy, King.
Lawler: Haha! Big ugly puppy!
Cena: You had to fight the authority? I've been fighting for 10 years! And I never give up! Hustle, Loyalty, Respect!
JBL: YEAH! BIG MATCH JOHNNY IS WHAT ROMAN WISHES HE COULD BE!
Lawler: Big ugly puppy!
Cena: I didn't need a little gang of friends to help me, I just needed the support of the WWE UNIVERSE!
*Loud Boos*
Cole: The ever controversial John Cena is laying it on the line for Roman Reigns!
