I may come across as someone in denial, but that list of names makes it sound too good to be true.

Peyton Manning should be insulted even being relegated to the same article with Ryan Zimmerman & Ryan Howard

Wasn't Peyton Manning injured at that point and I don't think HGH was even illegal in the NFL at that point. Hopefully someone can clarify that for me

You're right, I guess over the past seven years I got the facts of that report confused. But it doesn't change the same sentiment, that Harrison was suspended for HGH use and if it is proven that Peyton Manning used HGH, he would have been subjected to a similar punishment. The fact that the league didn't have a testing procedure would not absolve him, as HGH was still on the list of banned substances in 2011.

Splitting hairs but I think he got busted for substance abuse (HGH and it's ilk were lumped in with coke and pot back then...wow...) otherwise yeah I'm with ya on all that. Don't think there's much left to go on (seeing as the only credited source in this so far has already come out and said "yeah I lied") but like I said in the other thread, people will have their minds made up either way by this time tomorrow night here and everywhere else and we'll see what happens going forward.

There should be a seperate groups of sports where people are allowed to cheat. I'd love to see chemically enhanced mutants compete with each other. I can easily imagine a roided up American football player throwing the ball at least a mile, or some cyclists pedalling so fast, they tear a hole in the space-time continuum.

The pharmacist in the documentary recants all accusations and says the documentary is a lie.
Safe to say the NFL got to him. Come on now

Guy was a drug peddler who was name dropping big names about their supposed use to get someone to buy his stuff. Soon as Al-Jazeera contacted him to confirm the story he recanted then and has since come out with the video recanting further. They are the ones choosing to run the story at this point with their only "witness" not confirming anything to them.

Ryan Howard?
If this is true, then HGH isn't very effective.

In the ultimate "nothing to see here!" move, Peyton Manning has added the services of Ari Fleischer to speak on his behalf. Yes, the same Ari Fleischer who served as press secretary for former President George W. Bush. Sorry not buying that in this case. If he came in with a list that included Manning, Kobe Bryant, Tiger Woods, and Derek Jeter, then I'd be more inclined to agree. But the sheer randomness of some of these names leads me to believe there's more fire than smoke in this situation. What does it benefit him to drop names like Mike Neal, James Harrison, or Taylor Teagarden? Are people going to go to their fainting couches because Ryan Zimmerman was accused?

I'd believe it (I don't think any athlete is above using them), but NFL drug testing is such a joke that I doubt anything will come of it.

Peyton Manning on ESPN apparently just called the report fabricated and defamation. Let's see if he decides to sue, but he has to be leery that by bringing it to court, he opens himself up to discovery.
With how hard he has denied these reports, if they are proven to be true, there's no two ways around it: he becomes the NFL's Rafael Palmeiro. Palmeiro wagged his finger at Congress about how he never used steroids and then five months later, he was suspended for steroid use and his reputation and career was permanently destroyed.
EDIT - The way ESPN is carrying Peyton Manning's water, particularly in the aftermath of the way they dragged Tom Brady through the mud earlier this year, is absolutely laughable. Is Archie Manning on set and holding a gun behind the camera at Sunday NFL Countdown?
