People that won't wash their hands

I'm talking grown adults who use the bathroom and go on their merry way. It's mind boggling how someone walking upright acts like they were raised by wolves. You learn this stuff when you're 3 or something and then somewhere along the line some decide "eh it's overrated "

Ive perfected a way of peeing so that I don't touch anything and therefore don't need to wash hands. But if I do touch, I have a thing about washing my hands and then touching a dirty door to exit. So the whole thing can be mind numbing.

I can understand people wanting their freedom and hence not liking certain rules or conventions. But washing hands after using the restroom is something I cannot understand why people would NOT want to do in the first place.

Agreed washing your hands is common sense.

But the worst thing is people who don't flush! I'm serous! When I worked for American Express, there was always a crap and a pile of paper just sitting in the bowl. Who would do that!? Its insanely gross!

i don't wash my hands because i spend so much time each day washing my junk instead. 8 or 9 times a day i get my carrot and plums* so clean you could sell them on eBay making hand washing unnecessary.

I generally do wash my hands but frankly, considering how dirty public sinks tend to be anyway, I'm not 100 % convinced of the hygiene benefits.

That I completely agree with. Seriously guys, it takes two seconds, you can do it in the same motion you're getting up. It's like these people are deliberately trying to be disrespectful of others.

To me, the real reason you should wash your hands is because of the various door handles, flush handles, etc that you have to touch while going about the business.

People get grossed out about someone touching their genitals and not washing their hands - which is pretty unsanitary, but probably less germ-ridden than your computer keyboard or smartphone touchscreen. I get it though because people are very uptight about genitals in general (and for good reason most of the time), but honestly its more about people washing their hands before handling food or something like that.

Even if you wash your hands after you use a public restroom, between the faucet you have to turn off, the door you have to exit through, your own gross smartphone or keyboard, odds are your hand will be covered with much gross stuff by the time you make it back home than it ever would have taking a piss.

But still - any chance to clean the paws is always a good idea.

I always wash my hands and when I use the sink, I use the back of my hand to turn it on and off. I really don't know if that matters or not, but it makes me feel better.

Yeah, Wonka, I'll get your back. I've seen so many issues like this that people don't even think twice about. We've had the "leaving your trash just sitting in a movie theater" discussions and everything else. If I had a dime for every point my blood pressure rises when these discussions come up and then people who think the world didn't exist before they were born refute common courtesies and social necessities, then I'd have enough to bribe a nation into martial law to enforce these things that drive you and I both up a friggin wall.
