It has been stated multiple times by multiple people they do not fix the votes. They could be sued if they do. Wasn't there a thing last year where someone proved that the Superstar of the Year award was rigged so that any vote for Dean Ambrose got redirected to John Cena while any vote for Daniel Bryan got redirected to Roman Reigns? I don't know if that ever got debunked or not, but I still find it very, very hard to believe that Roman Reigns legitimately won a popularity contest that also included Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, John Cena, and Brock Lesnar. It just seems absolutely impossible, especially since it happened during a time where Reigns was getting booed by the majority of the crowds and WWE already going hard on the 'Making Roman Look Strong' train. More like a statistics/sample problem. Tells you more about the people who vote on wwe.com or via phone than about who is most popular among the entire population.

I like how the Slammy argument seems to boil down to which is more believable... "WWE fixing the results of a people's choice poll they swear up and down is legit (even more so than they do so for their own product)" or "A majority percentage of the fanbase actually like The Usos more than The New Day".

Could you really sue over rigged free voting? I understand if it was one of those "texts cost 50 cents" Talent show things but what would the damages be in this scenario?

What exactly does WWE have to gain from fixing votes?

What exactly does WWE have to gain from fixing votes? Quite a bit when it comes to storylines... and having the winners actually, ya know, be there.

They might be legit, they might not. The one thing I'm sure of, I sure don't care.

I'm just sad they stopped the mizs whacky antics trying to mentor Neville and maybe even give him a makeover lol.

It has been stated multiple times by multiple people they do not fix the votes. They could be sued if they do. Im late to the party...but what proof exists to show that the votes arent fixed? What people? And sued for what? Other than a couple of wrestlers saying they didnt know about Taboo Tuesday...which also doesnt show anything. I think the votes are completely fixed...always have beeen, always will be.

I could be remembering wrong, but I'm pretty sure Foley said in one of his books that he thinks WWE fixes the voting.

Every vote, fan write in, popularity contests, rankings...everything has always been fixed. Since the very beginning, its all fixed to further storylines, push merch, get guys over...perception is reality. Anything they can fix...they do. Its like all scripted entertainment. Since the beginning of wrestling, it hasnt changed. You dont think its real, do you? Do you think the fans cheering for Hogan at Mania 18 was spontanious? That the double turn with Dibiase and Murdock was organic? McMahon didnt know Sandman was winning the text vote for Taboo Tuesday? Nikki won the vote? whatcha going to do? Sue the WWE for not being straight up amd honest? heheheheh lemme guess...the title matches are real...but the other matches?, yeah, theyre fixed.

"Aside from everyone telling me it's legit, I don't think it's legit." Black helicopters, Maggle? By the way...who's everyone? Cole and JBL telling me? WWE.com? Some mark here? You nailed the FAN demographic. Bunch of marks who think it's all real. Next thing you're going to tell me is that The Undertaker isn't actually dead? DON'T YOU DARE TAKE THAT AWAY FROM ME YOU WRESTLING TRUTHER! Also Jericho's podcast where he and Shelton Benjamin discuss Taboo Tuesday and the fact that no one expected Shelton to win. To the point that Jericho didn't even know what Shelton's finisher was until they hit it. Or "the People's Choice" Mason Ryan. Or literally every dirt sheet report I read that says the vote is legitimate. Obviously a lot of the time WWE "subtly" tries to influence your decision, but they don't outwardly determine the vote. But I'm sure everyone is wrong and/or lying and you're the one guy who knows what's up.

It would be kind of cool if they played up the fact that Miz 'fixed' it for Neville to win. Even if he didn't.

Voting isn't rigged. There are rules about broadcasting a show in which you solicit your audience to vote. WWE cannot rig the votes, and they would be stupid to rig them.
