Last time I remember him talking to Del Rio he broke the fourth wall and said all his cars weren't his. I wasn't really watching much at this period but did he really say this? Anyone have links? LMAO

It ... It kinda was a lucky kick, out of the blue. I see what Cena's saying - it's not like he beat Cena with an armbar, he just got him enough to get a 3-count. That's the whole point of professional wrestling though: beat the guy enough to get the win.

Del Rio is a worthless piece of poop. Roman Reigns wishes Cena would let him lick dog poop off his shoes. That's the state of the WWE like it or not.

Jeez, he admits defeat and humbly accepts loss and moves on "Omg, stop the humble shit. Act like you care!" Shows some damn passion and shows some more interesting general douchebaggery "Stop being a dick and take your loss like a man!". What the heck do you want from this guy? To be somewhere in the middle instead veering toward either extreme?

To maybe say Del Rio did a good job beating him and was a worthy opponent, but while he was away Cena worked hard and now knows he can beat him. This way Del Rio is a worthy opponent and Cena accomplishes something by beating him.

John Cena is the worst character in WWE right now He is an unlikable douche who thinks he's the greatest and doesn't even put over when a dude wins. He's an incredible form of Douche An uber-douche?

His douchebaggery is never presented as a character flaw; he's not a sore loser/winner in the narrative, nobody on commentary every actually calls him our for any of what he says, and it's just a thing he does, while still being presented as just the nicest guy. If the hero has a negative flaw that never actually brings negative repurcussions for him, then it is an empty flaw and does not actually round out a character in the least.

Seriously--how hard would it have been for Cena to say that Del Rio was a tough challenger for him and he didn't expect him, so he got caught off-guard by a guy he knew would be tough, but being off allowed him to refocus and he just KNEW he could beat Del Rio. Acting like the guy that beat you is garbage makes you look bad--you lost to garbage!

And who gives a shit if he buries Del Rio? It's Del Rio: no one gives a damn. Cena worked the crowd like a true pro. Even turning the negative interactions - the shirt getting thrown back - into a positive for him and negative for Del Rio. It was masterful. BUT IT WAS THE WORST RAW EVER!

Pull a 96 Hogan in 2016 as a 20 year tribute. You, Mr. Cena, honestly is the only one on the main roster than can shake things up...

So much for Cena wanting that belt back of his, if he can't even take the guy who beat him for it seriously.

Losing to someone and putting someone over are two different things. By basically saying that Del Rio's win didn't really matter because it was a lucky kick, he totally buried the match, the wrestler, the title and the reign. So what's to gain then? He beats Del Rio soundly (because that's what'll happen). Whoopty shit. He beat a guy that relied on luck, not skill to beat him earlier. Does nothing for either guy, really. John Cena, you just defeated a nobody(according to you). Congratulations, I guess. He wins back the US Title. The one he just buried. Whoopty shit. Title's garbage because it was only won on luck by a nobody. In order for him to "OVERCOME THE ODDS!!!", there have to *be* odds for him to overcome.

So I was hearing someone talk about Tyson Fury before he won the world title and how he would always badmouth his opponents and entertain the people with his rants and how it didn't really help make his fights interesting or draws. The main reason being is that if he slags off his opponents all the time and beats them, then who cares? He beat a jobber.
If he slagged off Wladimir Klitschko and lost, he looked terrible because he beat someone who he said was old, slow and had no place in the division.
The thing that always annoys me about Cena is that he rarely ever admits he lost to the better man or say he recognised why he lost and improved, there was always this outside force that prevented him from winning or it was a fluke and he just makes all these excuses when there's no excuses there. Kevin Owens beat him clean as a whistle and instead of admitting Owens beat him that night, he ran off, got a rematch and called him cocky. Hogan never did that and Austin never did that.
I can understand if Del Rio beat him because Zeb drove over and grabbed his foot, but he didn't. Del Rio hit him, knocked him out and won. Wouldn't it be better to say 'Hey, you won, but now you are using that belt to represent something that doesn't sit well with these fans so I am coming back and I'm going to beat you. I'm ready for you now'.
As someone said earlier, I'm amazed John Cena the man is playing John Cena the wrestling character. It feels like they're two different damn people.

Michael Cole's statement of "I wonder how Del Rio will handle a fully prepared Cena!" was worse.
The whole point of an open challenge is to deal with not being prepared.
