I feel like the crowd might actually cheer and be glad he's gone.

There will definitely be some cheers. However, I like to think that most would share my personal sentiment: Thank you. End of career slide aside, the guy has had a magnificent run - one of the best big men ever.

Depends on who does it and Show's alignment by the time the match starts.

Depends if he's face or heel and it depends how he goes out. I think he said he wants to go out in a blaze of glory, potentially putting someone over so if that's the case then when he retires he'll be cheered.

THANK YOU BIG SHOW FOR RETIRING THANK YOU BIG SHOW FOR RETIRING Depends if he's face or heel and it depends how he goes out. It's nice that he wants to "put someone over", but I'm going to hate that it's most likely going to be a transparent attempt to force push a pet project who would get pushed hard either way whether Big Show was retiring or not. I'd rather Big Show's retirement match be used to rebuild a lesser star's credibility or something.

They'd chant "one more match" because wrestling fans are the most perplexing bastards on earth.

Big shows last match should be on Raw with the entire build being about if his opponent can lift him to do their finishing move ignoring that he lifted Big Show to do the move on Smackdown with no problem. Big Show is the best 7 footer Wrestling has ever had but constant turns and abrupt changes in character hurt him a lot. He should still get a thankyou chant he deserves it.

THey really ruined Show since his debut in 1999. WCW definitely booked him much better than WWE ever did. He should have been kept as a special attraction. There wouldn't be so much resentment towards the guy now

If he ever had to announce his real retirement in the ring of course he'd get cheered.

I'd think the crowd would pop at the time depending on where it was, though they'd probably come around to his side if he was given the chance for an emotional goodbye speech, but they'd go nuts for any return appearances.
Personally I'd be glad to see him go, but I can think of much worse on the current roster. God knows I'd take more Big Show over more Kane.

I'd say that fans might not be douchebags about it, but there's that guy who was trying to shout "tear your quad" or whatever at Triple H at a Hall of Fame ceremony. Some fans are kind of garbage.

He's a much more enjoyable face than a heel. So if he ended on that upnote, he'll be cheered. I'll cheer, and happily so. On that note, he's been greatly entertaining. If he's a heel.........I'll want to cheer. I don't know if that's praise or indictment of him as a heel, but I really do want a reason to care/cheer when he ends, and being a heel I kinda won't want to...

I don't even know if he'll have some epic last match or anything. It might just be that he's off TV for a while and just kinda never comes back. So in other words the answer is neither. No one will notice he's gone.

No one will notice he's gone. Or the next time he comes back is either as a "surprise Rumble entrant", "guest host" or "slammy presenter". He'll be done as a marquee performer, but I Don't think he'll officially retire because they might want him to come back to randomly squash someone like Heath Slater or Xavier Woods in a two minute comedy match or something.

He did get a nice send off that first time when he "retired" from ECW.

I would cheer like Stone Cold time travelled from 1999 to do one more match.
