I don't know if it's every year, but often times WWE will just bust something random that you wouldn't expect from them (usually a unexpected good and long match) and tonight felt like one of those nights.
I remember a really good HHH-HBK match one Raw that was never brought up again. I remember the Irony in that it was considered a Match of the year Contender when it took place on one of the last days of the year.
I think the Divas were in that weird twilight zone spot tonight.
Becky Drops the whole "Wacky" shtick and gives a rather NXT-level to the point, serious, mostly genuine promo about who she is and what the match means to her. Charlotte is gone. Sasha's lackies stay out of the match for the most part, and they have a really long match where they bust out a crapload of moves. Oddly, the Brooklyn Crowd (a "smart" audience and the sight of NXT takeover: Brooklyn) did not take kindly to this match. Lot's of very audible BORING chants.
Anyone else have memories of unexpected matches and booking on the Last Raw of the year?

The derailing of Ryback, Ziggler, and Rowan which they never recovered from.

Wasn't the last Raw of 2014 when Seth Rollins tried to kill Edge to force Cena to bring the Authority back?

Wasn't the last Raw of 2014 when Seth Rollins tried to kill Edge to force Cena to bring the Authority back? Probably... The whole thing kind of blurs together in a sea of confetti and retconned storyline.
