Does Dana White get a lot of hatred from MMA fans? You got 2 camps: those who love jerkass Dana White and everyone else. White has said shit about his critics and MMA fans than way worst than anything JBL or Styles tweeted.

I've been working in the film industry for over 20 years and I've never found that. It may be indifferent to the audience at times but I've never noticed the outright hostility that wrestling has. Most people I've worked with have been really good people trying to do their best to entertain the audience with the odd David Duchovny who has a hate on for their fans. To be fair to the film industry, a lot of that scorn directed at fans is from the acting part of the community, and a lot of it is driven by the level of the unpleasant fan confrontations they deal with. I can't even imagine what Duchovny's had to deal with from certain X-Files fans. Hell, look at how Jake Lloyd turned out, and what drove him there. Stalkers, golddiggers, scammers, psychopaths, constant threat of home invasion and property trespassing...there are some pretty damning reasons for a lot of them to turn sour on their fanbases. I have professional reasons for not liking the man - he let his dog take a crap in my sound booth - but he has definitely had to deal with his share of idiots. That kind of fanbase is why I'm incredibly sympathetic to CM Punk.

Does Dana White get a lot of hatred from MMA fans? Yep, often for the same things as Vince does (pushing personal favourites into main event spots). You should see the schadenfreude whenever one of them goes down...

What even is the IWC anymore? Everyone is on the internet. I'm sure you watch things other than pro wrestling but do you seek out message boards like this one to talk in depth about all of those shows after each episode? I doubt it. You just consume the content and move on to the next thing. Maybe you'll occasionally mention those shows in face to face conversations or on whatever social media you use but that's about it. That, to me, is the difference between the wrestling fans who also use the internet and the fans who fall under the IWC label. Of course. IMDB has forums for every single show and movie and people do talk in depth about every episode. Rotten Tomatoes and dozens of other sites have forums.

For Dana White, it was Tuesday. And I'm generally entertained by Dana.

It seems a lot of people in the wrestling business doesn't respect the IWC. You'd think that catering to us would bring more success.

I think the issue there is that the majority of that part of the fanbase are already giving WWE their money (and some are only just NOW deciding enough is enough and walking away), so they see it as "no point preaching to the converted". They're trying to attract new fans that aren't giving them their money and make it so they ARE giving them their money.

The network is on the Internet. So anyone who watches the network is in the iwc. So all network subscribers are Whiney idiots ? Product stinks at the minute, that may be me whining but facts is facts brother jack. When people talk about the "IWC", they're not talking about "every wrestling fan with Internet access". They're not talking about the average fan who is only aware of WWE and only consumption of online wrestling media is watching WWE programming online, talking on their John Cena Fan Club Facebook group and writing "Neville/Miz graphic slash" fanfics on their Tumblr blog. They're referring to the online fans who follow Indy and puro wrestling and typically value "workrate" over "big muscles" or whatever qualities WWE supposedly admire in their favorite guys to push.

He's become what he hated in 2006. Die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain...

I have professional reasons for not liking the man - he let his dog take a crap in my sound booth ...go on. I was the engineer on an ADR session for a movie he was in. He showed up at the studio with his dog in tow. Studio manager told him the dog had to stay out of the studio and that someone would be happy to look after said dog in the green room. Dude freaked but eventually relented. He had 4/8 of a page of looping to do and it took bloody forever to get it done. First thing he says when he's done is 'Someone get me f***ing dog. She misses me.' Dog comes running into the studio, straight into the booth, and all we hear is him talking baby talk to the animal. As he's leaving he says 'By the way, my dog shit in your room. Thanks for looking after her.'

Boxing promoters have ignored their problems for years - and are now left fighting over a shrinking pond. Wrestling will go the same way with this attitude. You only need to look at your local toy store to see WWE is getting it's ass kicked by Marvel, Star Wars, Lego etc... That's the real competition. Some of that is because Mattel is getting its ass kicked by Hasbro, Hasbro's distribution isn't great, and it's still better than Mattel's.

IWC, Joey or 1W.C? Pretty funny for a guy who co-owned 1 Wrestling.Com to trash Internet wrestling fans. That being said, I don't believe for a second that he is sharing his honest opinion. He's just heeling. Everyone tries to pop Vince and Co.

I love and hate Dana White's persona at the same time. If that's possible.

And while I'm at it, I've always found Joey Styles to be a bit annoying. And in cases where I thought he showed some of his real personality, I liked him less. Also, to pile-on, I think he's overrated as a commentator. I normally hate to use the term 'overrated' but I think it applies to Joey Styles. But anyway, Happy New Year!

The more I read this thread, the more I want a Gimmick Battle Royal at Wrestlemania 32, and Styles can replicate Jim Cornette at Wrestlemania 17.

I swear, the feud of our generation isn't going to be between any two wrestlers, it's going to be this one that's been happening for years between company and fans. The best feuds aren't between two wrestlers. Hogans greatest feud wasn't against a wrestler, it was his career long feud with Heenan. Even when he turned Heel it wasn't good enough for Heenan. I was always hoping for a reveal at the end that Heenan was Hogans father.

Oh Joey your company doesn't even care enough about you or think you are good enough to be on TV. You could love them as much as you can, your boss will never love you back.
