I agree with this. Only do it if she is a fan as well. what if all she wanted was a surprise engagement would it still be ok then I'm sure it would be a surprise if you did it that way, the question is do you think it would be a pleasant one to her? If she goes for it, more power to you to bro, but if she's not a big wrestling fan, it would be easier to do it in a more intimate setting rather than at a wrestling show.

If the entire point is to catch her off guard and surprise her, you may as well do it while she's in the bathroom. A surprise wedding engagement still requires extra thought and effort.

One night, while having a nice dinner or doing something else that has her enjoying the day, thinking things can't get any better. And then, bam, you propose. Otherwise, it's: *Wrestlemania You: This is fun Her: Eh, whatever. I'm just hanging out. You: Will you marry me? Her: Yes! You: Yay! *Hugs and kisses You: Okay, now we're engaged. Time to finish watching Wrestlemania. Her: Uh, shouldn't we go out and celebrate? Call our friends and family? You: But the show isn't over.

Second, you know her better than we do. If you think it'll work, go for it. I wish you well. On the surface, I just don't think it's the right plan.

Holy crap.
Abort man.
Abort.
Even a fan for the most part is going to roll their eyes at being proposed to at wrestlemania. It's just not the proper venue.

I dread to think how a crowd full of European football fans will react to seeing this.

Find someplace romantic after wrestlemania is done if you want to do that day so much.

If you're set on seeing this through, at least follow up with this line:
"Honey, just like WWE's ratings, I want to keep going down on you for the foreseeable future."
(Disclaimer: please do not actually take my advice)

Beyond questioning the fact of doing it at wrestlemania when she's a casual fan, there's the fact that getting away from event that big is always long and arduous. The glow from her saying yes will probably be worn out by the time you finally get back to your hotel or wherever you're going after. I'm not saying do it at a dinner since it's been established she doesn't want that. However, doing it somewhere that surprises her but leaves you both free to celebrate afterwards seems like the better idea. From the sounds of it you can find something like that in Dallas. Beyond it being questionable at the event think of the practicality of it.

Hopefully this wrestling proposal will go better than most wrestling weddings.
Seriously, though congrats.

Do it during Alberto's match.
So at least the crowd has something entertaining to watch.

Do it on the preshow, why?
It will FOREVER be on youtube, legally!!!
You can watch it over and over and over again.

I dread to think how a crowd full of European football fans will react to seeing this. They'll be singing vulgar songs about her within seconds. This thread is awesome, I checked to see if the OP aborted yet. I like when people want to be patted on the back for their great decision and it just gets hole after hole poked in it.

Propose to her before Mania... like weeks before. That way if she says no, you can take me, a stranger from FAN forums.
You can surprise me with the ticket!

I don't want to tell someone how to do something like this, but as a guy who just proposed a couple of weeks ago, the first thing my girl told me is how relieved she was that I didn't do it in a public place. Combine that with doing it at a place that isn't too special for her, I feel like this is a bad idea.
But I hope I'm wrong. Good luck!
