Even going against the highest rated Monday night game of the season, Raw did well above its fall season average with the Vince McMahon show-long arrest angle.
Raw did 3.53 million viewers, placing it third for the night on cable behind the Broncos-Bengals game that did 15.81 million viewers and an episode of SportsCenter.
The angle, as expected, helped maintain the audience as there was less of an audience drop as the show went on as is typical of Raw. The return of John Cena also played a part in that.
The three hours were:
8 p.m. 3.70 million viewers 9 p.m. 3.49 million viewers 10 p.m. 3.43 million viewers
Monday was the final episode of Monday Night Football. With the exception of the 1/11 show, which goes against the college football championship game, Raw will now be free of its top competition, and ratings should rise about 10 percent from the level they have been if history is an indication.

Big first hour but even with Cena and Vince in the 3rd they lost 300k. Guess the game was the killer there but still cannot be good.

That's about 3.70 million more than it deserved.

The game was VERY close from about 3 minutes into the second half on so a lot of people probably did switch to that. We have a title match next week and no football so let's see what happens with ratings.

Overall it did better than the worse nights they've had. Yeah, they went down the other hours but it wasn't steep. And being number three on cable will be more than enough to please the USA overlords.

That first segment was about the worse acting I've seen in wrestling in some time. I know the show we watch isn't exactly the Wire, but everyone was bad. Even Vince. The crowd chanting for Punk and Bryan while the number one face champion stands there smirking like a f***ing goof, Stephanie being terrible, those "we're not here to arrest anyone, ok we are" cops..it was dreadful. If I was a casual fan I would switch off going "now I remember why I stopped watching this shit."

I wonder what would happen if Vince was forced to pay all of his personal pay for the week to charity each time the ratings went down.
Unethical and illegal, obviously, but I'd love to see how much effort he'd put in or if he's actually content losing money as long as he's entertaining himself.

I was expecting the rating to be worse with it coming off of a holiday weekend, and the huge winter storm that was going on. Monday was the final episode of Monday Night Football. With the exception of the 1/11 show, which goes against the college football championship game, Raw will now be free of its top competition, and ratings should rise about 10 percent from the level they have been if history is an indication. But if both Oklahoma and KU win their next basketball games, this Monday's Raw will be going head to head against 1 vs 2 in college basketball.

If I was a casual fan I would switch off going "now I remember why I stopped watching this shit." I honestly think porn stars could rustle up some better acting than that first segment. I can appreciate that the police probably had literally no prior acting experience, but everyone else involved has done this kind of thing before.

Truth be told not too many people watch CBB this early But there is the possibility of a 1 vs 2 matchup, with one of those teams being a marquee basketball school. So while it will be a reprieve from Monday Night Football, the WWE can still be going against a big game that will eat into the ratings.

Raw going to be in trouble anyway. They waited too long to find Cena's replacement and having Heel top heavy not going to help

That's about 3.70 million more than it deserved. Not nice to talk about Alberto Del Rio like that.

With the exception of the 1/11 show, which goes against the college football championship game Christ. Bama-Clemson is going to kill them.
