So......Alabama is 3rd and 3 with the hiesman trophy winning RB Derreck Henry lined up in the back field and they throw a dump to somebody who had a man so far inside his route he could smell his after shave...

If Alabama loses to another Big Ten team in the semi finals the SEC as a whole will suffer. Not so much because of Michgan state no disrespect but they don't have obnoxious fans that spring up out of the ground in every state after they win ten games like Ohio State. But just northerners in general will ride the anti-SEC train harder and honestly, they will have been given fuel by the SEC

^i do avoid them after a loss. It doesn't matter if Bama loses 99-0 with no offensive yards and no first down, they will excuse themselves out of anything and end with roll tide. My point was Michigan state is not as national a brand as Ohio State so we won't hear from their fans but from everyone else not in the playoff

Eh, to be honest, as fun a run as the SEC seven straight wins thing was, that dominance has been over for a couple of years now. This year especially it's clear that the conference as a whole has fallen off quite a bit.
The SECSECSEC deal, at least for now, is done.

This year especially it's clear that the conference as a whole has fallen off quite a bit. The SECSECSEC deal, at least for now, is done. I understand the SEC fatigue. I had USC, Ohio St, Nebraska etc fatigue after ESPN pushed them to the moon. Some fans are lingering on it and the demise of it for too long. Of its over than move on. The gloating should have concluded or tapered off by now. The SEC has not won the title since 13. They are still good and consistently so but if we moved past it than let's move past it.

OU really needs to learn to score more than 17 in a game if they want to win.

^usually they do I thought? At any rate they didn't tonight. But the Big XII and OU got a big paycheck anyways, so I suppose it's still all good for them

This might be the first time in a long time where I don't watch the title game. I literally have no interest in either team. I was looking forward to the Rose and Fiesta Bowls more anyway.

I really hope Clemson destroys Alabama and their garbage fans. I don't think I can live with my family if those mouth-breathers win another championship*
*By paying players, but whatevs.

Umm....everybody pays their players now. It's authorized Granted I don't keep up with NCAAF as much due to the 99% of the fans being insufferable, but when did that start?

It's pretty bad when ESPN feels the need to explain what exactly the sponsor of the bowl game is.

According to Deadspin, the stings for the CFB playoff games last night are down 36% from last year.

Hot start for Ohio State, I wish MSU hadn't gotten that fluke win over Mich. Ohio State would have been BIG champs and in the playoffs now. They'd have done a much better job against Bama.
