Beefcake is another guy who is long overdue. Never was a fan, but he was definitely one of the top 10 biggest WWF names of the 80's.

Beefcake always seemed like a huge deal, but when I look back and think about his career........... really not a huge deal?
Knowing he was/is Hogan's friend taints my remembrance of his WWF career. It's actually tough to see his old matches (after the Barber gimmick) and think he earned those pops on his own. Weird.
But hey what the hell why not. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But hey what the hell why not. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ He definitely was over as The Barber and one of the biggest babyface for like a 2-3 year period irregardless of being Hogan's friend. That said who really knows if it was just the gimmick and anyone cutting hair in an angle with Piper would have got over. Kinda like Swagger has never been over but can still draw "WE THE PEOPLE" chants. That said for the 2-3 years over as the barber there is like 10 years of awful gimmicks and just outright dullness and being up on the card because he is Hogans friend and "other things".

I have no idea why people seem to think the Hall of Fame should be exclusive to multi-time World Champions or main event talent only. Charles Wright showed more versatility and perseverance in his career than most, did everything he was told to do, and ultimately spent more time in the company than quite a few of first-ballot inductees. Sure, there's snubs just like anything in life, but the British Bulldog not being in the Hall of Fame does not nullify the contributions that guys like Rikishi and The Godfather made in their careers. Agreed. I always thought it was more akin to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame than the Baseball Hall of Fame. No one would argue that, say, John Mellencamp made the same contribution to rock music as Buddy Holly, but that doesn't mean his career shouldn't be recognized.

Can we hurry and put Kane in so I don't have to see him as an active competitor anymore?

So for the celeb inductee can the WWE get Bob Barker?

I thought of one the other day...
Slick. Hes local to the area, known name to the Hogan Era, and is alive.

I also realized that the Honky Tonk Man isn't in yet. His IC record still hasn't been broken, and he pops up from time to time, so I don't think he's on bad terms with them.

HTM has been offered a few times but turned it down. I know he was close to going in at WM26 but WWE wanted him to cancel his appearances surrounding the show and he wasn't going to so he turned it down.

X-Pac please. To continue the HHH's buddies streak. 2014 - Razor 2015 - Diesel 2016 - X-Pac 2017 - Justin Credible I think Hunter's buddy William Regal will go in before Justin Credible. That's a shame be cause he's scheduled to be inducted into the Olive Garden Hall of Fame and was hoping to make it a twofer.

Snuka Piper Hogan Steamboat Warrior Andre Jake Savage Mr Wonderful Hart Foundation Demolition Bulldogs No way man... Uh, yes way. I'm talking about the guys that other people talked about. Not the accomplishments...but more along the lines of whenever I talked about wrestling with someone from that era, those were the guys that were mentioned. Here's the casual playground list about wrestling with a bunch of kids who watched. Hulk Hogan Ultimate Warrior Randy Savage Andre the Giant Million Dollar Man The guy with the snake The guy in the skirt The guy with the scissors The rest of the list rotated depending on who I talked to. Hart Foundation never much came up. Mr. Wonderful was practically an enhancement talent by that time.

The times he turned it down, I think he was on the outs with Vince, and leery about signing a Legends deal, which would have made him surrender the rights to a lot of footage he owned, and was mandatory with an induction. Since then, he's done more with the company, including occasional appearances on shows like Old-School Raw. I think as long as they can work something out where he doesn't have a scheduling conflict, he's one of the names that should be at the top of the list.

I'm fine with Beefcake getting in. He won the tag titles with Valentine and would have won the I-C title against Mr. Perfect if not for the accident. He was hugely over as The Barber. He was one of my favorite wrestlers as a kid, although I didn't care for him when he went to WCW.

Kevin Von Erich is making the trip from Hawaii to Dallas for WM, got to guess it is for a Freebird induction into the Hall of Fame.

Kevin Von Erich is making the trip from Hawaii to Dallas for WM, got to guess it is for a Freebird induction into the Hall of Fame. I found out earlier today from wrestlinginc that Kevin Von Erich posted that information on his official Twitter account on February 6th. For whatever reason, wrestlinginc didn't post an article about it until today. Kevin is certainly the perfect choice to induct the Fabulous Freebirds into the WWE Hall of Fame due to the Von Erich family's historic and still well-known 1980's feud with the Fabulous Freebirds down in World Class Championship Wrestling. I have no idea if WWE will be inducting just the original three Fabulous Freebirds (Michael P.S. Hayes, the late Terry Gordy and the late Buddy Roberts) or if WWE will be inducting all five members of the Fabulous Freebirds. Jimmy Garvin didn't officially become a Fabulous Freebird until June, 1989 and the late Brad Armstrong didn't become a Fabulous Freebird until May, 1991. The Fabulous Freebirds certainly had a truly great run from 1979-1994.
