If the Rumble is for the title, this should be used to get the title on a completely new face. Let someone new have the title, and if that champion can't be trusted to main event Mania, it wouldn't be hard to just let the Roman/HHH grudge match be the main event.

WHEN he wins, is he still going to do the whole point at the WM sign thing?
In fact, why would any winner do it?

If HHH enters at 30, wins the title etc, how does it set up the Mania match with Roman? Kayfabe wise I cant imagine the authority or Vince giving Roman that match unless they do some lame bullshit for the main event spot at Fastlane next month, oh which they'll probably do so never mind. I guess they can pull "rematch clause" but another ugh.
Im not really going out on a limb with this but: Brock's going to win the Rumble and the belt. Roman will beat HHH or some other schmuck at FastLane. Roman vs Brock II.
Roman vs HHH does not have to be a Mania match to get over that hump in the feud. I cannot imagine them doing that for a Mania main, HHH is smarter than that.

Wonder if they do the obvious and have Roman start first or surprise us by having him enter around the middle. 1 vs. 29 would imply first but I got to think they know that would probably cause a bit of a backlash toward the end.

If he doesn't, he'll just win it back from whoever does at Mania.

WHEN he wins, is he still going to do the whole point at the WM sign thing? In fact, why would any winner do it? You're still getting to main event Wrestlemania which is a huge deal in and out of kayfabe. Brock/Roman is the match I want to see, plus it opens up for Cena/Taker, HHH/Rock and Bray to not job at Mania (okay sadly not the last)>

1)Reigns 2)Lesnar 3)Triple H

They may as well call it the Roman Rumble now But I feel like HHH is winning the Rumble now... since The Rumble is now not about a possible up and comer or new guy being elevated anymore, it's just about one giant Roman Circlejerk they keep latching onto... 29 other men in the match. Roman is going to look SO strong when this is done.

Roman outlasts 30 superstars, and, exhausted, the clock counts down and Vince has Triple H enter as number 31.
So, he still looks strong and like he did it, but McMahon screws him super evil style and Triple H tosses him, setting up the chase for Mania.

I think it's gonna be Triple H. I don't think Vince is crazy enough to risk having Roman Reigns get booed to hell in yet another pivotal moment in his career but Roman Reigns being in the Rumble in general already puts him in a vulnerable position as it is, this whole thing is gonna revolve around him and crowd support is even more important than it was last year so win or lose this could be a disaster for his push. Would be quite the spectacle if history repeats itself.

Calling it now. Rollins is going to pull a Cena and return way earlier than anyone thought possible and take his belt back. Sets up a match that has been built for months with both taking the title from each other without facing one on one

Of course he has an ego, they all do. But I dont believe he thinks hes Mania main material at this point in his career. I'll be more surprised if they go that route than if they don't.

Now that I think about it, no. This whole cluster is meant to take the belt off of Reigns without him actually having to get pinned. HHH or Lesnar will win it, Roman gets his rematch at WM, Vince finally gets to see his moment of Roman winning the belt in the WM main event like he wanted.

I think Lesnar's winning, with Roman being screwed by HHH to set their match up. Pretty easy booking.
I think Taker is a longshot for a chance at winning. With WM being in Texas and his career wrapping up, It might be nice to give him a proper send off and the top billing match, maybe against Cena.

I cannot imagine them doing that for a Mania main, HHH is smarter than that. If Roman goes against Brock for the belt, he's going to lose all of his goodwill that he built up. Lesnar should be nowhere near the belt. Roman/HHH should be at Mania, but not with the belt. Roman should drop the title in the Rumble. If WWE wants Roman to continue getting cheered, then other people need to have the chance to do "important" stuff too. Putting all their eggs in one basket is why Roman got booed last year, because he wrestled Brock Lesnar for the title in the main event while Ambrose, Ziggler and Bryan wrestled R-Truth. They can't do that. Other fan favorites need to be doing "main event-y" type of stuff too in order to preserve Reigns' cheers.
