Maybe I'm being delusional here but unless it's an injury to HHH, Rock or Taker at this point that Mania is still kind of bulletproof. If Reigns somehow went down, we'd get Ambrose bumped to the main event slot and frankly I think they'd be fine.

His style seems pretty safe and from now till mania he's only going to be put in the ring with super careful workers (sorry big guy) but I do cringe sometimes watching wrestlers who wear too much gear whether for cosmetic or safety reasons, all it would take is to put on that much padding in a rush and head to the ring and you'd stand a good chance of twisting or spraining something.

I don't think it's a problem, just have someone win all the time and punch HHH a few times and people will love them even if they're talentless so there's no need to worry anymore.

Lesnar or the Rock.
Forget the argument of being on Tv every single week, because Lesnar's reign was pretty solid. I'd go with the Rock first, let him carry the belt til Mania then put him up against Lesnar (who takes it in the main event). And with Brock working more dates, let him annihilate people for the summer then drop the belt at Summerslam when someone makes their return to action. Maybe a face Rollins?
Alternatives? Bray Wyatt. The man still carries enough interest to be effective. Give him a title run and someone to work with who can help give his character much needed direction each week. Preferably a solid talker who would put on a good match and not take too much of a hit when they do the job.
The Miz. The guy's already headlined Mania and people love to hate the guy. Ideal pick for someone to dethrone to a huge pop. |
