Kinda weird how into Steiner the crowd at the start and then turned on him after his promo on Bagwell.
Flair getting put in an ambulance. Is this when he gets sent to the insane asylum?

I think it was because Bagwell was still popular, I think if they had pulled the trigger on the face turn a year earlier when he went down with the neck injury, he could've been even more popular. Yeah this was the Nitro where Flair gets put in the insane asylum, the following week is where you see him there and the Scott Hall cameo appearance.

The post-GAB 1999 Nitro replays both Macho's rambling-ass promo and Master P's introduction. (The latter can be excused just to hear Mean Gene saying "homies" with a straight face.)
"Kevin Nash, I got one word for ya's. The Macho Man is going to be unbelievably vicious."
"Kevin Nash, I got two words for ya: The WolfPac sucks!"
Macho Man invented Steiner mathematics.

Why are they skipping so many episodes in this grouping?

They uploaded the 3/8/99 nitro, infamous for the first hour having no matches or anything in the ring for that matter. It was all pre-taped vignettes or replays.

I wonder what the reaction from the live audience was. I dont think WCW had a jumbotron at that point, so they were pretty much forced to sit and wait for an hour with nothing.

I went to one in salt lake and that's how it felt zero action for the first hour. First and last time I attended anything other than a house show except for wm I went to all three Nitro events in SLC, and the first two were extremely hard to follow along with because there was no way to tell what the commentators were saying on television.

Why are they skipping so many episodes in this grouping? $10 says more and more of those WCW tapes are being found in poor condition.

i've noticed certain shows are edited to feature 100% less child murderers than the original episodes. they edited them like this for 24/7 a few years back. idk for sure but i'm guessing maybe the weird uploading order has to do with episodes they decided were edited too much, and now they're looking for the originals? some of the episode descriptions note how booker t is in some mysterious best of 7 series, so clearly its a big deal.

Why are they skipping so many episodes in this grouping? They usually upload in order for the most part, then just veer off and put in random episodes, much like with the Raws from 2000-01 recently.

So damn weird to think that before year's end, we'll most likely have the complete run of Nitro on the Network. Surreal, especially when it looked that they weren't going to bother beyond that initial 100 hours. It'll be interesting for me, as someone who stopped watching them after the Fingerpoke of Doom, to see just how quickly they veered off a cliff after that.

i understand them uploading the first half of 1999, but i really dont think there's much audience for 2000 or 2001
maybe it'll all be up there but i dunno if its really worth it

Late 2000-2001, which admittedly was my first exposure to WCW, is my favorite time period. I'd watch the shit out of it on the network.

Did they put up that June Nitro because Sable was in the audience?

I randomly picked spring breakout 99 I'm less than an hour in and this is terrible tv and the announcers keep telling me that nitro doesn't start till 9pm.Bull Payne vs Van Hammer opener was a poor choice.
