so i haven't been paying that much attention to just how often it happens, but lots of nitro in early 1998 feature this guy, who isn't quite a dwarf, but is very short, and he's wearing like macho man bright blue tie dye and wandering around the entrance ramp. all the time. like, the whole show. he yells at heels sometimes and claps for faces like any normal fan. only he's clearly not any normal fan.
i might've posted this like two-three days ago. i don't remember. i can't find the post but i think i posted it.
anyway, i want more info on this man. i'm posting it here since its related to nitros of the era, but it might be an all time nitro thing and i just never noticed until recently.

Yeah...did this "guy" have sunglasses and a giant cat head on?

its safe to say that's him. to be fair he did not have the fur suit or the cat head anymore, altho he apparently still had a tail.

Hmm...do they dub over Goldberg's theme on Nitros? *Wants the July 6 1998 episode to be uploaded. I was watching the show earlier and they did not dub over Goldberg's theme on that show.

Watched some May Nitros. Reminds that Torrie Wilson was one of the reasons I watched during that time. These Nitros are so bad. Not even batshit bad, just that everything is flat. The storylines are flat, from main event to midcard, even the matches are flat. The lack of energy from just a year before is astounding.

They finally uploaded the show I went to in 1999. We never had WWE/WCW bring TV to Sioux Falls and WCW gave us a Nitro on August 2, 1999. Just finished watching it and it was a decent show. Crowd was hot the entire time.
I remembered chunks of the show. I was just 9 at the time when I went but the main stuff still stuck out. But it's been the only Nitro/Raw/Smackdown to take place in my town....but I'm willing to bet that we get a Raw/Smackdown this year with our new arena.

The 1999 shows really go from bad to worse as the year goes on, some of the shows in the Spring had some high moments like the feuds with Benoit/Saturn vs. DDP's Triad, but that's about it.
I'm still waiting for the October 18,1999 Nitro to go up which was the first show that Russo wrote.

Just watched the 1st nitro in Canada from late March 99.Crowds super hot and they open with Konnan vs Vincent.Such classics as Rick Steiner vs Scott Norton,Jericho vs Jerry Flynn,Buff Bagwell vs Warren Moon.Only good stuff was Bret Hart/ Goldberg angle,Horsemen vs Rey/Kidman and Hogan/DDP was fun to see submission expert hulk hogan bust out a reverse armbar while ddp's on his stomach. The announcing keeps getting worse I've pinpointed this show as the one where Tony just gave up he has no clue what's going on multiple times throwing to video packages after he's already done so and they've already aired,He gives Larry,Mike and especially Bobby nothing to work with and snaps at them for merely talking.By the last hour Mike is pretty much silent but Bobby wouldn't give up.It was uncomfortable to listen to yet oddly intriguing at the same time,I may to over it by next weeks show.

I was watching the Spring Break 99 Nitro and Tony acts salty towards Bobby to the point where he asks him what's his problem and Tony ignores him, I was like wow what an a**hole.

Did they upload the episode where Sting wins the title from DDP in an absolutely outstanding match (among my favourite in the company's history) only to lose it back like an hour later in a terrible 4 way and make it all meaningless? I had that episode on tape as a kid and even back then, it always pissed me off that they wasted such a classic moment.

This is the next week and Tony's a dick all night but When Bobby switches halfway in with Larry and they do the on camera reset Bobby goes to talk Tony ignores him Bobby says "Don't you want to hear what I have to say? and Tony's response is "No!" And Tony just moves on it got much worse. Tony also said he'd rather die then go to a baseball game with Bobby and Mark Tenay so Bobby said we need to get you to a game as quick as possible.

Last I checked they have everything from Jan 99 to mid August 99 except the finger poke of Doom show.

Watching the August 17, 1998 episode. The show is from Hartford, CT. During the opening segment with Hogan, the announcers mention a million times about how this is their first show in CT, and how this was the house Hogan built. Did WWF do this during the first Raw in Atlanta?

I randomly picked spring breakout 99 I'm less than an hour in and this is terrible tv and the announcers keep telling me that nitro doesn't start till 9pm.Bull Payne vs Van Hammer opener was a poor choice. Crazy thing is, wrestling was so hot, this probably got a bigger quarter hour rating than some Raw main events at the end of last year.
