Okay, this might actually be the best place to ask this... when I was a kid, I had this book of scary stories. One of them (which had an illustration on the cover) was about a kid who gets bitten by a bug and his skin becomes see-through, so he's a skeleton monster and has to live in the mountains. Can anyone please tell me the name of this book? I've been wondering for years about this.

Are we talking about books we were made to read for a class in school? Or books we read while in school?
If it is the school thing.
Animal Farm 1984 Lord of the Flies Some Poe collection of short stories Some Lovecraft collection of short stories Great Gatsby-One of the few I didn't finish The Scarlet Letter-Another I didn't finish All's quiet on the western front Julius Casear Macbeth Hamlet Neuromancer-Last book we read senior year we got to pick out. I had already read this and knew I could write a long and fast report on it.
10th thru 12th grade I was in Honor's English, which was pretty much a literature class. We got assigned 4 books each year to read. So would read one every 9 weeks. You got a packet of questions. With some many having to answered and turned in each week. I would normally have the book read in a week and would spend the rest of the term reading whatever book or comic I had handy.
