Getting old and years of excess take their toll. It sucks but it's just part of life. Always remember: we're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time.

This is the year the music died, apparently.

I swear, I think this is the latest in the Hollywood Apocalypse. Unfortunately, the "kingdom" to take over won't be a promised land, as the ways to prove you have talent and what is accepted as talent are not as good.

He had a great voice. He may be gone, but his music will live on.

As much as I try and avoid the whole "f*** 20**" 2016 has certainly been a rough year for Big name deaths so far.
And there's still another 11 months of it left.
Just back off a bit Mr reaper yes?

Wow, it is nuts how many people died in the past month.
I always think of the SNL sketch with Ben Stiller and Will Ferrell. "The H is O!"

Thanks to Miami Vice I'll always remember him for Smugglers Blues and You Belong To The City. You ask any DEA man, says there's nothing he can do. Sad to hear. A truly great musician.

youtu.be/P5_0DzMVf1MTheir songs were among the first songs I learned to play. I also learned how to sing harmonies by trying to figure out their arrangements. When I used to play live and hear my performances back I realized that when I sang country, I subconsciously picked up many of GF's vocal mannerisms. I was watching the video of the California Jam performance of Already Gone and watched Glenn take the guitar solo. I laughed out loud when he ended the solo with a Chuck Berry Johnny B. Goode/Roll Over Beethoven lick out of nowhere. Why did I laugh? Because when I took guitar solos and got lost and fingertied, I would break out that same Chuck Berry lick in hopes that no one would notice my f***-up. I loved that it kind of humanized him and showed him as what he was: a working musician who worked as a musician. Anyway, that's my Glenn Frey moment. Thanks for the music, Lone Arranger!
