Well he wouldn't be EC3... since that gimmick sorta requires Dixie Carter to make any sense... and hell no to giving Dixie a job Off topi, but whoever did your sig pic, Platypus, deserves praise. Brilliant.

Brilliant. Believe it or not that was an official shirt. WWE had a line of parody shirts for a very short time... Underquaker was one as was Preperation HHH...

Ethan Carter III is the biggest miss opportunity for the WWE.
Not Carlito, not John Morrison, not Muhammad Hassan, not Shelton Benjamin, not Drew McIntyre, but EC3.
If they'll accept him, he can be one of the best heels in the company.

I like him, but think he is very overrated. He stands out in TNA mostly because the rest of their roster is horrible, but there are dozens of guys in WWE/NXT who are just as good/better than he is. He plays his role well, but so do the likes of Tyler Breeze, The Miz etc and they aren't near the main event, so I don't see EC3 being that successful if he was to return

How are we so 100% sure he's on roids? TNA has no drug or wellness policy. Plus, look at him. Because he looked like Spike Dudley in the WWE?

How are we so 100% sure he's on roids? Because he's muscular and has some acne on his back. You don't get acne on your back unless your on steroids. /Sarcasm Your flame-baiting sarcasm aside, when someone in their 30s suddenly gains massive amounts of muscle and a bacne problem you'd have to be displaying a certain amount of ignorance to not reach that conclusion. Obviously it's not definite, but given the evidence at hand it's a fair assumption.

Yeah there's no massive difference. A haircut and baby oil works wonders. Wasn't he one of Cena's workout buddies too? He has much more time off now so it's easier to get his workouts in than it was on the road with WWE. He MIGHT be on roids but there's no evidence either way.

Those who watch Impact on a regular basis know that EC3 is on some the best juice this side of Muscle Beach or TNA needs to use Stridex pads to clean the ring mats. Way too many times he had bance outbreaks or pimples on his chest. Plus he has that 10 lbs of muscle stuffed in a 8 lbs sausage casing look. I guess y'all probably think Brian Cage got his mass all natural also.

I agree with the "MIGHT be" sentiment as we obviously can't say one way or the other definitively. I disagree with your "there's no evidence either way" statement. The evidence is clearly there. The pictures don't really do it justice but there's a bit of evidence that, while not enough individually, combine to paint the picture: 1) He was in phenomenal shape in his 20s, but managed to add even more mass fairly quickly at around age 30 (when it becomes significantly more difficult to do so). 2) He only did so upon entering an unregulated environment. 3) During the same time period he also developed a bacne issue that could turn any canvas he bumped on into a faux-Jackson Pollock. 4) He also grew a bit thicker around the waist. This isn't uncommon with someone transitioning from their 20s to their 30s, but EC3 did so while still maintaining his abs... (see: Martin, Andrew)

Throwing the roids out of the equation of the question (and count me in on one of those who thinks hes on the gas), I don't think there's any question of him having the opportunity for him to return in the future. He's only a couple of years older than Reigns and I don't think anyone can question how much better he's become in virtually every respect since he's gotten the ball in TNA. That said, I dunno how much WWE would give him in the way of a push if he returned, but I don't think there's much of a question he'd get the chance if he was available at this point.
If he really is a Roidy Magoo then obviously that could change some of this, but roids won't help him with maneuvers or working the mic which he is able to do pretty well.
The biggest hurdle for him would be his character in WWE. They wouldn't be able to call him EC3 (nor would they even consider that persona even if they could), so he'd have to basically start over from scratch in terms of who he is. There is almost no way they'd have him be the EC3 character under a different name, he'd be changed pretty drastically I'd imagine.

If they don't want him related to McMahon, which is the expected route, maybe Derrick Bateman just got really rich and snobby in his time away?

He could easily come back as an EC3 arrogant heel/spoiled rich guy gimmick. If he's using Roids, then he'll have to get off them. He's probably made more chicken salad from chicken crap than anyone out there remaining relevant in TNA, so give him a shot.
