I really can't ever tell if your repeated comparisons of Daniel Bryan to part-timers coming in and taking up all the big slots when they do so is your genuine understanding of his situation, or if you're just trying to stir the pot.

If the end game is to give him a run with the belt than it depends on your perspective. If it's a long run than before I even think about giving him the title than he needs to prove he can be healthy for a substantial amount of time. If you looking for a transition run than get what you can out of him before he runs out of gas.

If he does come back and is back in full form, absolutely not. It'd be insane to.
He is as talented as anyone on the roster, as over as anyone on the roster, and has a smuch potential for big matches as anyone on the roster. And if you are worried about his health, you maximize the time you get out of him while easing the scheduel so that you can try to minimize the risk, at least somewhat. But you don't have him go back and feud with the social outcasts or New Day or even the Wyatt's again.

It'd be a waste of their money to do so. A Superstar's pay is like an investment, and you would want to get the most out of that investment. If you drop him down the card, he becomes less popular, sells less merchandise and fewer tickets, but you're still paying him the same downside so the return on your investment has decreased. It's bad business to drop popular top stars down the card. It's like throwing money away.

Plant him firmly in the upper midcard and use him to get other guys over. He's too frail to chance with the title at this point.
People want to see him and you might as well get some use out of him, before he totally craps out. |

At any rate, as far as going to "the front" of the line goes, dude's return from injury consisted of getting punked out of the Rumble to no fanfare, supporting Roman Reigns as the future champion, and then curtain jerking mania in a seven-man ladder match for a midcard title. Dude didn't exactly jump ahead of all the hot opportunities and leave everyone else choking on his dust.
