Ugh, that made any discussion around her really toxic for a while. Repeated fervent and candid discussion of her bisexuality and how it's influenced her personality and music, and people still doubt it, but one badly worded tweet, and it was treated as the end of the discussion, because anyone who claims to be bisexual must just be evil fakers out to exploit the real LG BT community. Honestly, I think it's less that her popularity's died, and more it's plateaued to a safe level. She's made her big money, and now she can be more low profile, do her own shit without having to be all "WHOA, LOOK AT ME! BUY MY SINGLE!" Her solidly declaring she was straight definitely winger her popularity with the LGBT community though. I actively heard some people booing when they played "Applause" at a gay night in one of the clubs I go to. Daft really, it's still a great song! And this is why it's dangerous when one group of people or a person tries to claim an artist for their own. Believe me, I Have 17 years of Dusty Springfield fandom to back me up, as that included several ugly incidents between fan groups. If they are good, everyone should like them!

Exactly, did anybody not have Phil Anselmo pegged as a pigshit thick racist before all this no, but mostly because of the public apology last year for Pantera ever using a confederate flag

Thankfully, Drawn Together. A number of people enjoyed it when it first came out immensely and it seemed to be in as high regard as South Park or The Simpsons. Then after more seasons Captain Hero took up a bulk of screentime, and Clara became obnoxiously cruel. The final nail in the coffin was their long-awaited movie that ended up being terrible, with virtually no one defending it. I didn't watch past the first few episodes, so I'm glad this rotten farce of a show eventually got canned. To me it only did as well as it did because it was parodying Reality TV which widely hated on the Internet at the time.
Only thing the show had going for it was Clara and Foxxy being hot. Shame they couldn't have had better writers handle them.

Over the weekend I saw the internet crucify Phil Anselmo (rightfully so) and take it out on Pantera as a whole. So it seems the Pantera fandom died in front of our eyes over the weekend. I don't care though. Phil has always been a douche, doesn't make what Dime, Vinnie, and Rex brought to the band any less great. Talented singer, but yeah, Anselmo's always been pretty unlikable. Pantera's Behind The Music didn't do him many favors. I got to see Pantera one time. Sadly it was when Phil's personal demons had control. He spent most of the show singing into the wrong end of the mic. The dude has talent but is also a huge dickhead.

The FirePro community is all but extinct save for a literal handful of creators and the guys who use it for eFeds. Between S and Returns' US release there was aton of boards and people creating. I thought this for a while but the FPR community is actually still in damn good shape considering everything. The community got waaaay smaller but nowadays its a pretty passionate, dedicated community who refuse to let it go extinct. I think putting the game on the PSN store ensured that the community won't die any time soon and we may see a bit of a resurgence in the future with FPR being more accessible. Whenever people leave, other people step up to fill the void. On the topic of wrestling games though the communities for KoC, Smackdown/SvR, Fire Pro games that aren't FPR are straight up dead. The AKI community is also pretty much dead for any game that isn't No Mercy, but atleast there's like 2-3 people still breathing in life into VPW2. FPR and No Mercy will always be around. They just got to.

I never watched the show, atleast on the internet Dexter fandom hasn't just died, but now hated. This John Lithgow seasons is the most cited reason and then it got worse and worse until he became a lumberjack.

World of Warcraft. I know Blizzard did a lot to kill the game, but after Wraith of the Lich King the players turned on it in rabid droves.

I watched a small handful of episodes over their first two seasons, trying to give it a smidgen of a chance. I really liked the premise and the art direction, and the cast featured voice acting legends like Tara Strong and Cree Summer. But the cast, writing wise is incredibly unlikable and off-putting and the jokes were insanely cliche. I realize that was the point, but it didn't make for an entertaining cartoon. I'm afraid to watch the movie, but Mr. Enter did a hilarious roasting of it.

I for one am interested in the explanation of how this huge great colony ship got made at the same time the galaxy was at war and Shepherd was literally scrabbling about for resources for the Crucible. I understand the need to get as far away as possible from the f***ed up ending to ME3 but it does seem a bit of a jump. How? That's an easy one. The writers got scared and didn't want to canonize Destroy despite it being the most popular choice by far. I get not wanting to capitulate to fan demand on everything, but turning away for the sake of a weak ending that didn't explain much of anything was just a waste. And they had quite a few chances to fix that, and never did. The series won't ever be the same unless they either use a crazy explanation to retcon that, or just retcon it outright. I would have been angry with them going the destroy route since it made a huge section of what I did completely pointless... but that was a big problem with pretty much all the endings to a degree. Though I am perfectly fine with more in the universe... but they really should have thought about the ending a hell of a lot more if they wanted to continue in the sandbox.

I'm afraid to watch the movie, but Mr. Enter did a hilarious roasting of it. To me it was one of those shows that just tried way to hard to be offensive, It was desperately trying to be controversial but honestly just fell flat for most part. I will admit for me anyway that it did have it's moments, but overall it just felt like it was trying to be South Park as far as being controversial goes. The biggest difference being with South Park, is whilst it is very crude, occasionaly offensive and childish at times, behind all that there is actually some clever writing which is why it works a lot of the time. Drawn Together on the other hand just felt like being offensive and rude just for the sake of it. and the Characters were extremely one dimensional as well. for Example with Foxxy Love, The only jokes they could ever make for her were the fact that she is Black. and with Xander, the fact that he is gay. It's ok once in awhile but when it's all you got it get's old very quickly. There was definitely a Good show here somewhere, the Idea and concept had a lot of potential, but the whole trying to hard and just poor writing for most part ruined it. I've never seen the movie and honestly, I have no real desire.

Yeah, half the movie (and mind you I've only seen the MysteriousMrEnter commentary, I'm too scared to try to sit through the real thing) revolves around them getting cancelled and replaced by a parody of South Park (a crude cut-out style show with a Cartman style girl that says gross stuff and then preaches politics). I'm not even a South Park fan and I still think that's stupid. Whether you agree with Matt and Trey or not, they at least try to make something insightful. All DT did was a bunch of lame jokes you could find on Robot Chicken or any MAD magazine parody, done worse.

The only thing I remember about Drawn Together was flipping channels and Captain Hero was in a wheelchair that had to be controlled by blowing or something... get it because Christopher Reeve, played Superman and he was paralyzed in a tragic accident.

One of the episodes I tried to watch was when the cast read a bad review from Entertainment Weekly, and most of them went into an identity crisis- until the Adam Carolla (I think?) voiced pig rallies them and they go to the EW offices. Right before the pig opens the door, I thought to myself "Let me guess: the magazine editor is going to be a hideous freak and the embodiment of the things they mock, right?" Surprise surprise, the bitch was a hideous freak and the embodiment of the things they mocked. Then the pig made some dumb speech about her being too sensitive, and I just changed the channel because I was done.

The other thing is, as has been stated, Drawn Together never made the tiniest effort to develop their characters past extremely broad stereotypes, so you couldn't even have much character-based humor other than the most bluntly obvious associations (i.e. the Christopher Reeve jokes, etc).
The thing that really helps the longevity of Robot Chicken is that if a joke doesn't work, the individual sketch is rarely long enough for it to drag the episode down. DT would take that joke and stretch it into an entire episode.

It was the hot new shooter, creative , unique, lots of players.

I just thought of one from the world of sports: the Miami Heat.
From June 2010 through July 2014, the Miami Heat were equally the most hated and most beloved team in the NBA after they landed the "big three" of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh. Whether they were loved or detested, they were the NBA's marquee franchise, garnering the most coverage on SportsCenter or any nationally-televised games and having their own website dedicated to them on ESPN.com. Also, Heat "fans" seemed to flock to every road arena in which Miami played, seeming to fill the building in red and black jerseys and turn the games into de facto neutral site matchups.
Then, LeBron James flew north to return home to the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Heat lost all of their cache. The moment that James' Sports Illustrated article announcing his return to Cleveland made the rounds, you could almost collectively hear the national consensus stop giving a f*** about the Heat. They're yesterday's news, just another team, and their national following abandoned them in favor of the latest trendy and successful bandwagon, whether it's the Cavaliers or the Golden State Warriors.

There's still a big fandom there in spite of how awful Warlords of Draenor was. But yeah, the game's userbase peaked at Wrath. We'll see how Legion does because it looks like it's ramping up on the epic stuff and artifact weapons look like a lot of fun. There's also the movie coming out. And agreed with everyone on Drawn Together. What a garbage show.
