I don't see any possible way they weren't aware of that toy deal before they signed him. Slaughter got fired over his GI Joe figure... He wanted to sign a deal after he signed with WWE. When you sign with WWE, you also sign over your likeness rights for the duration of your contract. Because WWE gets exclusive control, any pre existing contracts would need to be declared so that language could be put into the contract to not only provide an exemption for whoever the pre existing deal is with, but to also ensure that when that deal expires the rights revert back to WWE, unless the other company had an option to extend the deal which would likely supersede it reverting to WWE

I don't know if this heat is true or not, but why do I have to read through three paragraphs of shit I already knew in order to read what I clicked the link for? I will explain that in this post. I am currently posting this on the FAN forums. The Freakin' Awesome Network used to be Wrestlecrap, but then everything split. Here on these forums we talk about a lot of stuff. We talk about wrestling and wrestlers like John Cena who is the WWE's top guy and is currently dating Nikki Bella, The Rock who in addition to being one of the biggest stars ever in wrestling is one of the top stars in Hollywood, AJ Styles who just made his debut in WWE, Triple H who is the current WWE Champion, COO, and is married to Stephanie McMahon, and Trish Stratus who is a former wrestler, from Toronto, and is well liked. We also talk about comic books, movies, sports, television shows, and everything in between. Like when we talk about comic books or movies, the subject of Superman may come up. Superman is from Krypton and he, Batman, and Spider-Man are the 3 massive comic characters. There's talk about Star Wars, which is a movie series set a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. There's a no politics and no religion rule, so we don't talk about them, except on election day we're allowed to talk politics in one thread. The reason you have to read through that all is because they want the story to look long, I guess. Word quotas are a bitch

Slaughter got fired over his GI Joe figure... Slaughter wasn't fired for that. He wanted to sign up with it and Vince told him no, so Slaughter quit and then signed with Hasbro. I'm surprised Vince didn't try to cash in for that potential crossover money.

Those figures are adult collectibles not sold in traditional retailers. They're no competition with Mattel, and won't hurt WWE'S bottom dollar at all.
