As we know, Brock Lesnar became something of a face after destroying Cena at Summerslam 2014, at least to a segment of the audience. There were also rumors that Daniel Bryan was slated to take that beating before he got injured and had to relinquish the belt.
My question is simple: does Brock get ANY cheers after doing that to Daniel Bryan rather than John Cena. Cena was despised by a good percentage of the fanbase--but Bryan was one of the few who was close to universally beloved. I know it wouldn't have been aimed at Brock, per se (Vince would have taken a beating on this and other forums), but I really don't think Lesnar ever really becomes cheered at all after that--at least until maybe WM 31. Maybe I'm wrong.

No. It would have been rage like you couldn't believe. Bryan goes through everything only to get completely squashed by the dork who previously couldn't beat Old Man H at Mania two years back?
The anger would've been through the roof. Especially if Bryan's post-Extreme Rules defenses was more Authority crap.

I would have liked to have seen it. And I like(d) Bryan.

I feel like it would have been a good match. Bryan would have struggled, but been completely blindsided, and it would have set up for Bryan vs. Lesnar at WrestleMania eventually, where we'd finally get a great David vs. Goliath story when Brock tapped to the YES! Lock in the middle of the ring.

If it would have happened, and Roman won the rumble he would have been boo'd even more. Brock would still get the face reaction by the time he got to Roman, Taker and Rollins. Assuming he still Borks Cena at Night of Champions he would've been cheered then too.

That would have been terrible. The reason Lesnar/Cena was so amazing was that a guy who squashed guys for 10 years was absolutely destroyed without getting in more than a few offensive moves...
