It looks as though Vince is laughing in that clip.

The Tinfoil wearer in me thinks this is a cover up for a Wellness violation.

I can see how it'd be called unprofessional. They were still on the air and just wrapping up a heartfelt moment. Wrong time for Titus to start messing around. 90 days seems harsh though. It says up to 90 days. Not that he was suspended for 90 days. for all we know he was suspended for a week.

No not bullshit. He could have easily been fired for this act of stupidity on his part and it'd be easily justified. Shit, anywhere else that would have been the end of his employment. He grabbed and forcibly spun his senior citizen boss around in front of other co-workers and the customers. That is a huge mistake, even if he did not mean anything bad by it. You have a weird definitions of justified. If this suspension is unpaid, I would be considering legal action by Titus. Look, I get that it might not have been 'cool' in WWE's eyes that he did it. So you give him a stern talking to, or you keep him off TV for a week. But literally all we know is that Titus grabbed Vince, and now he's facing a lengthy suspension. I have no idea how anybody can justify that. It's complete bullshit. The thing about 'forcibly spinning' a senior citizen might hold up in some places, but it clearly wasn't assault and it seems pretty clear Vince wasn't harmed. Grabbing your boss in a 'ah, c'mere you' fashion is not a huge, fireable offense. And on top of it all, THIS IS THEIR PROFESSION. I agree with everything you wrote. I just wanted to attaboy you for adding the GIF, it really drove your point home. Nice touch.

I would grab a hold of Vince too if he had my 11 match win streak end to freaking Adam Rose.

Vince still shudders at the Austin hugs.

It was idiotic on his part to do that on stage. Period. Now I think the punishment is harsh, but how stupid do you have to be to decide then to grab your boss (during SOMEONE ELSE'S RETIREMENT btw) and try to be playful. Save that stupid shit for backstage, Titus. At least he didn't show Vince his dick on twitter.

I have a crazy theory.
Maybe Titus is looking for a way out of his contract?

The appeals to authority here are ridiculous. Can WWE suspend or fire him for that? Sure, because they are independent contractors. Does that in any way make it right, or justifiable through the filter of basic human eyes? f*** no. It's complete bullshit. WWE workers should unionize. The best part is Lana reaction Can't help but hear "worldstar" in a Russian accent.

No, I don't. If this were an investment bank, I could see where the picture gets complicated if you grab your boss a little harder than you intended and would necessitate an HR visit. But this is the f***ing WWE. Vince wasn't hurt, or assaulted. This was nothing, and it's all about sending a message to the wrestlers who they willingly exploit and abuse. LOL c'mon. Enough of the SJW/WWEREVIL ridiculousness. The guy grabbed his boss without expectation of the grab. This is incomparable to a worked segment where Vince is in on it + it was in front of cameras which created a brief yet still odd moment that people definitely noticed. I think the length of the suspension is a bit OTT, but we also don't know Titus' history. We don't know if he's been suspended in the past for whatever reason as they only publicize wellness stuff. He could very easily have been suspended in the past and this is a secondary offense. It's also clearly obvious that the ONLY reason he was not released for this is b/c he's proven to be an excellent community ambassador. Sorry, you don't grab your boss in a very public manner like this. The fact its a wrestling company is irrelevant. Titus is lucky he wasn't released. I guarantee you had this been someone who had no "stock" or reputation in the company already, i.e. Tyler Breeze, this would've been a future endeavors thing. I also would not be surprised if they lift the suspension as a goodwill gesture, but to get up in arms about this and going all batty about EXPLOITATION! ABUSE! EVIL! is OTT and completely off base. Titus screwed up PUBLICLY. He put Vince in an awkward position, whether or not it was meant in jest (clearly) is besides the point.

I swear that people will find the most ridiculous ways to bitch about Vince and the WWE.
Dude literally GRABBED and PULLED his own BOSS unsuspectingly on camera, right after an emotional retirement speech. I dare any of you with a job to wait for your boss to walk by, then YOU grab and pull them without them towards you without them expecting it, then we can see how far you get.
Titus was lucky he was only suspended for up to 90 days.
Oh, and it's not a definite 90 days. It's an UPWARD of 90 days, which means it can be 7 days, 30 days, 45 days, 60 days, etc.

There's a time and place to be all playful, Daniel Bryan's suspension was not one of them. Simple as that. If Titus was fired I'd say they went too far but a suspension considering it was the boss himself he got carried away with is no big deal.

I think the big issue that people who are "taking sides" with Titus and saying this is an overstep by WWE in terms of punishment is that they're forgetting this happened in PUBLIC. If this was backstage or away from cameras, we likely never even hear about it. It created a moment that was noticed by people watching at the time and surely some saw it live. Sure, the punishment was a bit heavy handed the way PWI wrote it, but as pointed out its probably not even going to be that long. Some are trying to create a mountain out of a molehill here.

I think it was a good call. This was Bryan's moment and Titus acting kind of goofy and messing around was not the appropriate thing to do at that time. I doubt he'll be gone a full 90 days but honestly it's not like he's been doing much of anything on the main shows. So I wouldn't know when he came back.

Knowing Titus he was probably stumbling about and needed to grab something to keep his balance.

I'm torn...on the one hand even though I know he's a great person in real life I can't stand Titus' character on screen...BUT...I also know Vince is way out of touch with reality and would suspend somebody just for touching him...BUT...
I really think this whole thing is a cover-up because he probably failed a drug test and since they have been pushing him as such a good guy/father with all the promos lately they came up with this little storyline thing...I mean look at the guy...he's clearly taking something...
Common sense...don't you think it's really convenient that the suspension will last 90 days...? That's what all first time wellness failers get for a suspension...
