Will Power won the Kohler Grand Prix at RoadAmerica.
And they announced that IndyCar will return to the track next year.

Stewart just shoved Hamiln out of the way for win!!!!! I think Denny let him have that TBH. He wheel-hopped at turn seven and bumped Tony out the way so let Tony back past at 11 to make amends. Denny's a normally clean driver who would be enough of a gentleman to do that, he's in the chase so doesn't need a win plus it puts a non threat like Tony in the chase over someone else.

I'm so happy for Tony, haven't marked out so much over a win since Daniel Bryan at WM.

For the record, Stewart is not currently in The Chase. You need to have a victory AND be in the top 30 in the point standings. The victory moved him to 32nd. He has enough time to make it in though, so no need to worry about it yet.

Ron Dennis recently said that McLaren wouldn't begin to consider their 2017 driver line up until at least September. If I was Alonso and/or Button I'd make his choice for him and jump ship...
The last two years have done nothing for either driver other than make them look bad. It'd be a shame for two talents and former world champions to go out with a whimper. They've got their legacy, they've got the money - why put yourself through the misery and indignity of going out in Q1 and racing for the lower points places?

NASCAR decided that Aric Almirola need the win and awarded it to him.

Rosberg's torn the car up nice and proper in practice for Austria. Needs a big rebuild to make qualifying later.

Good on Almirola for the win I guess. I'm so tired of these bullshit, contrived rules for NASCAR. Stop with the lead car having to accelerate first in an acceleration zone. Just throw the damn flag and go. If its so important that the lead car take the flag first, go back to single-file restarts. And the finishes...overtime, GWC, video evidence, timing and scoring loops...just stop counting cautions with like 20 to go and the race has to end under green.
And don't get me started on points...

Both Rosberg and Vettel have 5 place grid penalties for gearbox changes, advantage Hamilton. That's assuming that they finish working on Rosberg's car in time. Sainz's car also has work going on.

Kvyat's season just keeps getting better and better for him, as he's gone and wrecked the Toro Rosso in qualifying.
Looks like it was a suspension failure like with Rosberg, as opposed to driver error.

Red Flag! Kvyat's ok, can't say the same for his car.
It looks like yet another broken suspension, that makes Rosberg, Perez(?), and now Kvyat.
Looking at the replays, if the angle had been slightly different he could have ended up in the pit lane, as it was he just clipped the end of the barrier on his way past.

And Sainz blows an engine on the out lap for the qualifying restart, screwing everyone up nicely.
As an odd quirk of all that, Wehrlein in the Manor makes it to Q2.

Reports of rain on the way, we could have an interesting end to qualifying.

Hamilton takes pole in Austria in a rapid fire wet/dry session. Button in the McLaren was the big surprise of the session, as after penalties he'll be starting third.

Is it safe to say both Penske drivers are the Roman Reigns of NASCAR? Seeing as all three get excessive mounts of heel heat from the fans.
