What are some matches where you feel the wrong person went over?
Obviously there's the Triple H matches with Booker T, CM Punk, & Sting.
HBK should have beat Hogan at SummerSlam in my opinion.
Bret should have retained against Yokozuna at Mania 9.
The Rock should have won at Mania 2000.

lol how can I forget Rumble 2014 & 2015. I'd also personally add Lesnar vs. HHH at Mania 29. No way should HHH have beat Lesnar. Their feud should have ended at SummerSlam 2012 with just 1 match.

I honestly thought Lawler should have beat Miz for the title on a fluke, then Miz "retired" him after the match with an epic beating. Miz would have won the title back shortly after it was vacated.

In hindsight, Ryback should have beaten Mark Henry at WM29, since it kept up the "Ryback can't win big matches" thing up.
I still say Edge should have beaten Cena at Unforgiven 2006.

Christian vs Orton on that Smackdown days after he won a big title for the first time.
I have a friend who used to watch regularly but completely lost interest in WWE after that.

Oh man, there are a fair few.
Brock Lesnar should still be undefeated since his return. His losses to Cena and Triple H were stupid. Triple H going over Booker, Sting, Punk and Orton (WM 25) Roman Reigns winning the 2015 Royal Rumble The Wyatt Family losing at Fastlane 2016 Undertaker over Bray at WM31 Ryback over Mark Henry at WM29 John Cena over Edge at Royal Rumble 2006 John Cena over Kevin Owens at Battleground 2015 The Rock over CM Punk both times Team WWE over the Nexus

Bret should have retained against Yokozuna at Mania 9. See I don't have a problem with Yoko winning here. If it was Bret losing to someone from like Savage, Warrior Hogan I'd be against it, as the top face of the New Generation losing to a member of the old guard wouldn't look good. I know Yokozuna ended up losing it to a member of the old guard after the match, but I have less of a problem with that due to how Hogan won it.

On that note, I had a friend who stopped watching when Cena went over Orton at SummerSlam 2007. He was done with wrestling and, outside of Brock matches here and there, he stuck to his guns.

Wrestlemania 18 - the crowd have just gone bananas for Hogan vs Rock. The Women's Title match is on next, before the Jericho vs Triple H main. Trish Stratus is over as hell. She is from Ontario. She lives in Toronto. The event is in TORONTO.
So what do they do? They let Jazz retain the title. The crowd died.
The final match, which features a Canadian that they are trying to portray as a heel vs an American they are trying to portray as a hero babyface, is completely flat, and despite being a decent wrestling match is given a completely atmosphere-less reception.
I've always thought that - a) on its own it was a strange, Scrooge-like decision to have Jazz retain (Trish beat her for the title less than 6 weeks later anyway) and b) it had a knock-on effect in the final match.

Del rio needed the win against Edge at wrestlemania, especially after all the talk about "destiny" and winning the rumble to get there. It would have made him legit.

I know Yokozuna ended up losing it to a member of the old guard after the match, but I have less of a problem with that due to how Hogan won it. You realise that the whole point of Yokozuna was so Bret could go over him right? He was designed as a short-term monster character to help Bret get over as the top guy by retaining against him (just like Hogan had vs Bundy and Andre @ 2 and 3). Vince wasn't completely sold on Bret but he literally had no other choice given the steroid scandal and people leaving. Hogan exploited Vince's weakness by promising to drop the belt clean to Bret at Summerslam (passing the torch) if he could win it at Mania. As soon as he won it he let everybody know he wouldn't be dropping it to Bret, and only agreed to lose it to a heel (Yoko) via cheating. Hogan's politicking would basically have ended Bret's run as the top guy forever, as Vince by this point had decided that Luger would be the guy and be coronated at WM X after a long story arc. A combination of the fan's not letting it happen (yes, fans rejecting Vince's terrible choices has been going on for over two decades) and Luger's behaviour behind the scenes allowed Bret to come back for another run at the top (until Vince could get Diesel, and then HBK to take over). Poor Bret, the wrestler Vince never really wanted on top, a 1990s Daniel Bryan.

Christian vs Orton on that Smackdown days after he won a big title for the first time. I swear I'm not just saying this as an Orton mark but I loved that - I knew at the time they'd use it to slowly turn Christian heel. I know I'm in the minority but I love their whole feud.

Bret Hart is my favorite wrestler of all time and I had no problem with Bret losing to Yokozuna, but in no way should Hogan have come out and squashed Yoko afterward. The only thing that could've made that go well is if Hogan was going to "pass the torch" to Bret Hart at Summerslam 1993.
