What really counts isn't the number of bodies in the building, or how many with a ticket enter through the turnstiles. It's the number of tickets sold for the event. Some ticket holders don't show up, but the money still goes to the promotion. Some get free tickets, but they shouldn't count when calculating attendance, because no tickets were sold to those people. At WM8, for example, over 10,000 of the bodies in the building that day were free tickets they spread around town to try to make the building look more full, after disappointing ticket sales.

The Pope drew 93,600+ later that year and the setup was probably similar. Really? T-N-A! T-N-A! T-N-A! T-N-A!

I've said it before and I'll say it again it was 93,173, Nobody has been able to prove WWE wrong to this day, Just let it be and stop the debate. I can tell you just by watching WM 3 several times and that crowd is incredible, looks way more then 78,000.
