He should of said "What? No. God, No! Never! I dont care HOW much money they throw at me!" They love it when ya play hard to get, Carlito.

Even taking away Carlito as a person, because the rumours could be bullshit, I have rarely hated an onscreen character more in WWE, and not in a way that made me want to see him lose.
He did two awesome things for me - the most graceful double spring moonsault in the 2009 Rumble, and having the Backstabber as a finisher. Now other people do more awesome versions of each, honestly.
I hated the character, the theme music, the apple thing (hey Jericho invented that), his voice, his tights, his hair, his beard, just his face.
It was an unnecessary, irrational hatred that even reading back my own post makes me sound crazy.
...so in summary, bring him back and give him the strap.

I'd love to see him back, along with other members of WWE's 'lost' generation. The 'lost' being they may never have been top-level marquee stuff, yet were never really utilized to their fullest. The likes of Carlito, Masters, MVP, Benjamin, Morrison and whatnot. They'd all comfortably occupy a Ziggler-like level and add a load of proper depth (being that they're established talents rather than fresh-faced NXT folk or other kinds of lukewarm talents) to the roster.

There was a time where I wanted those guys back, but bringing them back now would just exacerbate the issues with the current roster. They got screwed over, sure, but they still got better than anyone who isn't a main eventer, ex-main eventer, or a fresh guy from NXT is getting.

Just to spite him, I'd bring him back, then make him the 3rd Matador, Rodrigo.
With the afro sticking out of the mask.

He was injured almost immediately after debuting, and spent the next several months doing the Cabana segments and nothing much else physical.
In that role, he was actually pretty great. Good promos, annoying as hell but in the right ways, got over as a heel. It worked.
Then he got back in the ring and wrestled. And somehow, even though he wasn't bad, the allure was gone. Even though he still talked and did Cabanas, somehow just being a non-wrestler made him click better. In the ring, he was fine, but he was just another wrestler I wasn't interested in.
Not to mention they SHOVED HIM DOWN OUR THROATS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. He and Masters got pushes during 2005 that seemed rather forced and came across as "SEE THIS GUY'S GREAT HE'S GREAT ISN'T HE GREAT??!!?"
And when I heard he himself was bored and didn't want to be there (which lasted like 2 years or so until he vanished) I disliked him even more.
.....this is the most I've thought or talked about Carlito perhaps ever. And I've had quite enough of it.

I've been a Carlito fan ever since he made fun of his first WWE run at the HOF. He's hilarious and I'd love to have him back.

I saw him RIGHT HERE IN SIOUX FALLS, SD!!! *CHEAP POP* a couple months back against "The Bulletproof Tiger" Jaysin Strife. I thought Strife was the better of the two. I'd rather have Strife in the WWE instead of Carlito.

Yeah, six months is a really long time just for this reason alone. I suspect there's something going on we aren't aware of. I don't get why it's so important to forget it happened anyway. Them feeling the need to be matadores could be an angle in itself.

I was never big on dude, for real. He was aight but not much more than that. Couldn't talk all that good, never came off that cool despite that being the basis of his whole character, can't remember any great matches he had. Plus, I was heated when he beat my dude Cena for the US title in his debut.

If he does wrestle with them again, I hope he gets rid of the backstabber/backcracker as a finisher. That move stinks

As a wrestler, not interested unless it's a one-off appearance in the Rumble or something. I was actually really hoping he would be one of the challengers for Cena's open US title challenge for the sake of continuity haha.
I would like him back as a manager for a repackaged Epico & Primo, though. That could work.
