I am also a people who thinks Mark Madden's opinion is garbage and has no intrinsic value in my everyday, day to day, daily life.
I'm only taking part in this thread and telling you this because it makes me feel big and squishy inside to do so.

I'm with you, I like Mark Madden. He was a bad commentator 17 years ago, I'm over it. His opinions are his, and they're not abrasive or anything.

Wasn't he just on JR's show a couple of weeks ago? He equated the New Day as a modern minstrel show...without the blackface paint.
I shut it off halfway through, couldn't stand listening to his voice any longer.

Back in the day when I had a weekly wrestling column while writing for three different newspapers, he did an interview slamming "the sheets" and saying "I'm the only real journalist in the industry, everyone else is half-assing it". I figured it was him heeling, albeit poorly, so I emailed him, his response was "I don't care if you have credentials, you're not making the money I am, so you're not a real journalist". Thus, I've detested him for years. |

Mark Madden sucks because he's a hack in every measurable way. He's tries to be a shock jock but can't come up with anything compelling or original enough to actually be shocking so he's just irritating, he's a dismal writer, his attempts to comment on anything of remote pop culture relevance reeks of "hello, fellow kids," and his attempts at journalism never rise above semi-anecdotal and reek of soggy unaccountable forced pessimism.
Yeah, he's a thing in the 412. Tom Bernard is a thing in the 612. Sometimes we geographically inherit our gelatinous abominations.
