Luckily the Twitter reaction is mostly slaughtering him for it. Just a little info for anybody who doesn't really follow both ESPN and WWE: Amin has this Twitter gimmick of "hate hard" where he basically picks on people with racist or bad NBA opinions. Unfortunately he tries way too hard with it and since he started getting more regular time on air, looks like he now thinks he is above a lot of stuff. Doubly unfortunate is that some of the uglier side of wrestling fans are just providing him with his beloved troll fuel. People at ESPN like Beadle, Coachman, etc, are kinda killing him for it tho. The gutless idiot is picking on an 8 year old (that is on the spectrum I believe, not that he'd know that) that is proud of his father. There is nothing that comes close to making that appropriate (not saying you're trying to). It is the 8 year old son of one of the faces of the company you're employer is looking to for help as their numbers shrink, in what world does anyone with a brain see that as a good business move? I just cannot see how anyone would see this as a good decision, troll gimmick or not. What's next for him, a disabled vet crying because he's getting an award? That is the one thing about gimmicks, you have to know how to work them to be successful. |
