No one from Agents of SHIELD is showing up. Feige explained last year that it exists in it's own pocket universe, where it's directly influenced by the films, but the films have no acknowledgement of the show. Kind of like a two-way mirror. Coulson still dead in the film canon.[/quote] Too bad, i was hoping for a scene where everyone is gathered together, suddenly a door opens and we see Coulson, flanked by the rest of the Agents, come in and say "Did i miss anything?"

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Sebastian Stan has a 9 picture deal with Marvel/Disney. Safe to say he'll be in both Infinity Wars especially if Cap dies in the second one. {Spoiler}I'd say that's a pretty safe bet too, but my earlier post is based only on what has been officially confirmed. For example, Scarlett Johansson hasn't been confirmed for either movie, and everybody and their mother knows Black Widow will be in at least one, if not both.
It's also worth pointing out that Marvel's contracts are based on having the option of using an actor for a specified number of movies, rather than a set in stone figure of how many movies they'll appear in. A n example of this is Tim Roth signed a three movie deal, and chances of him appearing again are pretty slim. Hell, Christopher Eccleston has a two-movie deal, and Malekith didn't even survive one movie.

We know Fury will be in both, Barton will be in one or both of them, Widow will definitely be in both. However, given that Samuel L. Jackson has two films left in his contract safe to say both of those will be Infinity War. Bucky at some point will definitely become Cap via Cap dying or retiring. It's going to be interesting as to where Marvel goes after Infinity Wars. Did they secretely make a deal with Fox and the next villain is Doctor Doom? or a returning Red Skull?

I threw this potential cliffhanger ending to a friend of mine while discussing Infinity Wars and he said it sounded pretty cool.
The cliffhanger ending shows Thanos standing tall over the fallen Avengers. Literally Stark's vision coming to life before his eyes as he's breathing his last breath. We see Thanos wielding the gauntlet using its powers and sending the Chitauri army, a resurrected Ronan, Kacelius, maybe Malekith, and Red Skull to earth in order to wreck havoc and continue his quest to win the affection of Mistress Death. When all of a sound a loud and I do mean a loud, unexpected, powerful, and emotional like hit from a shield smacks Thanos right in his face as he's taunting the fallen/dead Avengers.
The camera turns to reveal Cap along with the Guardians, Spider-Man, Strange, Black Panther, Ant-Man, Captain Marvel, Adam Warlock, and Bucky standing with him as he looks at his fallen comrades. He gives Thanos a stern look and says the line "Avengers....Assemble." Then it cuts to black. It keeps it dark and yet hopeful at the same time.

This is true too. We know Fury will be in both, Barton will be in one or both of them, Widow will definitely be in both. However, given that Samuel L. Jackson has two films left in his contract safe to say both of those will be Infinity War. Bucky at some point will definitely become Cap via Cap dying or retiring. Given in the last 12 months Chris Evans has literally said he's happy to extend his contract for as long as Marvel want to use Cap, I think we may not see Bucky as Cap for a while yet. Personally I'd rather see a fully-fledged Winter Soldier movie first. It's going to be interesting as to where Marvel goes after Infinity Wars. Did they secretely make a deal with Fox and the next villain is Doctor Doom? or a returning Red Skull? Kevin Feige was asked about it recently, and his response was “To us, it’s less about continuing to go bigger with spectacle - although in some cases, we will - and more about continuing to go deeper with those character interactions.” This suggests we'll be seeing smaller, more personal stories rather than continuing the Marvel trend of everything being about averting some global or galactic threat.

The more I think about this movie, the more I feel Marvel is going to whiff it in a spectacularly awful way. Given how Thanos has been represented in recent Marvel, I fail to see how the movies will capture Thanos' kinks. He's personal in an operatic sort of way, operatic in a psychological sort of way. Thanos as universe conqueror makes him Darkseid (which works great because of its Kirbyesque flourish). And if I wanted to see Darkseid done badly, I'd just watch more of the DCEU.

I'd like to believe that Marvel will do Thanos justice and ultimately will have no choice but to go balls to the wall dark, intense, and emotional with these last two Avenger films. They really have no choice and while their formula has worked in a massive way, they have to know fans want to see Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet done right.

Thanos as universe conqueror makes him Darkseid (which works great because of its Kirbyesque flourish). Well yeah... Thanos is literally designed to be a copy of Darkseid. Supposedly to the extent that Jim Starlin originally drew a more distinct design but the design was rejected and he was flat out told to copy Darkseid. also this movie fails if we don't get to see the Thanoscopter...

If we have Thanoscopter I DEMAND that WB retaliates by having Darkseid sitting on a couch in some random person's home in JL part 2.

I know this is all jokes and everything. But I definitely don't want to see the Thanoscopter in this film obviously. Maybe as some sort of gag deleted scene but the last thing we need is for Thanos to be a comedic villain.

what if it's like a video game where we think Thanos is the main villain and then out of the shadows comes another? how pissed would everyone be?

Maybe as some sort of gag deleted scene but the last thing we need is for Thanos to be a comedic villain. Comedy completely killed Ultron, and considering that was the last straw with Whedon before replacing him with the Russos, I think we're safe. Their two films thus far have featured fantastic villains and used comedy in appropriate places rather than leaving the entire script dripping with it. I think we're safe. Nothing would have been worse than Iron Man trading quips with Thanos as several Avengers are dying or dead.
