I don't care what they say...we're not getting a throw down with Thanos until Avengers 4. Thanos will spend the entire first movie finishing his pretty little stone collection. That will include either him or one of his generals ripping the stone out of Vision's head.
As far as the Guardians go...I haven't decided whether Tony mistakes them for his invading alien force or they save the Avengers' bacon at the end of IW. Either way, I don't see the Avengers being a cohesive unit again until it comes time to Assemble and kick some giant purple ass.
I also predict we see Coulson's return to the movie universe. Fury lets his one big secret out before the big fight and he reveals that not only is he alive but he put him in charge of putting together a force to keep Thanos' forces busy while the Avengers/Guardians take on the big man. Cue scenes of his Shield team, the Defenders, Deathlok, Punisher and Ghost Rider fighting in the streets to make fans of the shows happy. They don't need to be a huge part of the story. Just throw their fans a bone to show the tv side matters.

There's no way they're letting anything from the TV division into these movies, let's just put that to bed right now

My only nitpick about that featurette is I would have preferred Cumberbatch with RDJ and Chris Pratt, since their characters haven't been on camera together and seeing the actors together would've made things even more surreal.

There's no way they're letting anything from the TV division into these movies, let's just put that to bed right now Yep. Marvel Studios broke off from the Marvel TV stuff so they didn't have to deal with the demands of Isaac Perlmutter and they are two completely different entities now.

So I'll never get my dream Spider-Man/Daredevil crossover.

I could've sworn I remember reading it and that there was someone else in his place. Could be wrong though. Edit: I was wrong. Just an unfounded rumor that someone on Facebook started to get fans excited.

There's no way they're letting anything from the TV division interesting from Thanos Quest into these movies, let's just put that to bed right now Seeing that I recently upgraded to the Infinity Gauntlet omnibus after owning the mini-series trade for years, I decided to start reading it after Marvel's newest video shows the omnibus with a lot of sticky notes. And there's no way these movies are going to have the weird, operatic, and fun Thanos character beats from Starlin's Silver Surfer books or anything like that. Namely, Thanos does stuff. A lot of stuff. He actually has agency. He uses his brains to get all the gems (and the part with Champion made me laugh out loud). Movie Thanos has sat in a chair and put a glove on. And since we haven't seen Thanos be Thanos, he'll probably be made a generic big bad who powerhouses his way through Xandar and Asgard to get the Power and Space gems. I'm a tad bit hopeful because Jeff Goldblum is playing Grand Master in Thor 3, so maybe, just maybe, we'll get something like Thanos playing a mental video game in Infinity War Part 1. Prove me wrong, Feige!

The ironic thing here is that as fans, we clamored for Marvel to get back the rights to all these characters so that we could see them all in the same universe, then Marvel created their own separation of properties.

If Loki appears in either part of Infinity War, he should sub in for Mephisto as Thanos' lackey who's trying to get the IG for himself.

Which sucks because unlike DC, the movies and television properties are supposed to be a shared universe. There's fallout from the movies all over the tv shows. Hell, AoS was forced to be crappy it's first season as it had to sit on the big Hydra reveal for Winter Soldier. Basically they're getting screwed because of Perlmutter being an asshole and Feige getting Disney to let him breakaway.
I don't buy that garbage of it being difficult to use a tv character either. Spidey wasn't originally going to be in Civil War. Last second rewrites can happen. A last second cameo can be filmed. Hell, ads for Nelson and Murdock or Alias Investigations could be in the background. Then there's that whole thing with Agents possibly not even being a tv problem come Avengers 4. There would be zero excuse with them not being part of Shield giving the Avengers and Guardians a distraction while they hit the big purple dude.

AoS has a superhero who's known across America, so it'd be weird if they just ignore her.

It hurts, it disappoints and I hate that the Defenders are now prisoners of Ike. That being said... fudge him.

I could see the TV/Netflix characters appearing in cameos, ie, when some of the effects of Thanos start hitting Earth, we see quick reaction shots of SHIELD, Daredevil, Cage, Jessica, Punisher, Iron Fist, but thats it (kind of like how the cameos were handled in the 90s X-Men cartoon).
