He lost his teeth, he got burned, he almost got hepatitis, his body is beyond repair, it's embarrassing to see him work. That and not getting paid on time or at all, to me that classifies as losing everything. He's gonna be 50 with serious health problems with nothing to show for it What's the story about the hepatitis scare? Did Abyss wrestle Abdullah The Butcher or something? He had a hardcore match with Nigel Mcguinness when he was Desmond Wolfe and they had a hardcore match where they both bled. Nigel got infected during the match and that pretty much f***ed his tna tenure, Abyss got really really lucky.

The really confusing thing on Storm is... I can't even see why they wanted him back, really. I mean, yeah, he's talented, and basically the only guy who's been with TNA since the good ol' days who's still willing to put up with their shit, but his credibility as part of TNA has been shot for a long time, and they're using him for basically nothing of substance at all. He's basically TNA's Alberto in that they're paying him tons of money to do something someone with a third the paycheck could do. I would assume it's a case of TNA trying to play keep away with WWE but they have not the funds nor the resources to be doing that. Which would also bring into question of all the guys to try to keep away from WWE why would you make James Storm your ace. They're paying for a guy who they have no intention of giving spotlight time to or even treat him like a big deal

Has Meltzer discussed more about this? Its weird that it still hasn't gotten more mainstream.
Still, we can only assume. At least well have 6 days of insanity starting tomorrow that'll occupy our attention span.

The thing about Storm is that only a couple months after he came back, Roode and Young both left TNA, and it was reported that they were owed a combined six figures, and had both negotiated a release from their contracts with TNA by being willing to forgive the owed money just to get out of spending even more time being not paid. I get that some people beat just a little too hard on the James Storm thing, but if that's true then he really is kind of a f***ing idiot. In Storm's case, though, TNA was dead in the water already when he chose to come back. There were probably other places he could have chosen that would have been more beneficial in the long term, but he chose the quick paycheck. A paycheck long known for neither being reliable for paying on time nor having any kind of a future at all. But even then, is it really necessary to make a "James Storm cries into his guv'ment cheese" comment every time AJ, Joe, or even TJ Perkins makes an appearance on a WWE show? The post from me you quoted even literally contained the words "I get that some people beat just a little too hard on the James Storm thing".

They got a "live" Impact & then they gotta fill up all that additional time with BFG getting pushed back.

Yeah, some of us may go too far with comments, but at the same time, these people had chances to cut their losses but instead stayed on their volition. We should not mock them personally, but professionally? I think its fair fame.

At least well have 6 days of insanity starting tomorrow that'll occupy our attention span. I think the big reason it's contained to here is that aside from it being a discovery from a member here, Meltzer can't really go too deep into it until something concrete is known? He mentioned the part on twitter because there's nothing dicey about saying that they have until the stated deadline to file paperwork. But it's another to claim the company and all of its subsets are now defunct and the company is potentially operating illegally on the tapings they're about to go and shoot. We're free to speculate here as a bunch of rando f***asses, but assuming the story is on Meltzer's radar and he's looking into it, he probably doesn't want to say anything until things actually go down, because that's responsible journalism. If I recall correctly he sat on the DA cancellation story for weeks and sent Dixie repeated emails about it well before it went to print. Conversely, making claims and being wrong would a) be a blow to his credibility, and he can only afford so many of those, b) be grounds for TNA to take action. Someone could try to ping him on twitter again for an update (I would, but apparently using twitter to sell Amway to celebrities is "harassment") but otherwise I think we don't hear anything about this until actual news breaks, or we see what company is named at the end of tomorrow's Impact. If it's Aroluxe LLC then we know that TNA moved its assets under that roof (and I don't think we don't have the tools to go and look into that avenue of paperwork ourselves), and if it's a company that is no longer allowed to legally operate in the state of Tennessee then I guess it's going to quite the spectacle. I almost want to watch Impact just for the big reveal.

I assume since this isn't really a source thing where he can talk to people who know people, he's waiting for official word before saying anything. When he announced TNA was moving channels he got word of that but saying they are "out of business" or "cease to operate" is a complete different beast. Tomorrow will be the telltale sign of what's going in regards to these tapings and hopefully by the end of the week we will have definitive word of what's the next action in regards to TNA. We are not hearing a panic right now from TNA wrestlers or "wrestling media" so one would think this is the calm before the storm if shit is about to hit the fan.

I'm at the point that nothing is going to come of this. As much as it looks bad, somehow I don't see a big shit storm happening tomorrow.

If they need to fill time to sort this out they could just advertise another commercials only show for us to enjoy and not lose any momentum.

I wouldn't be waiting for Meltzer's take on this because he's not as clued in to the wrestling biz as he used to be and he let Alverez and his flunkies run the site for the most part. The same Alverez who didn't know Rich Swann was already under a WWE/NXT contract and been so for awhile. PWInsider is pro TNA so they won't expose anything not sent by Jeremy Borash. This is up there to FAN discovering Nick Gage robbed a bank in Philly before the sheets caught wind of that.

They're at a level of despair and hopelessness most people will never know. So better than usual really.

Someone should check Dean Broadhead's Facebook profile and see if he's having a mental breakdown trying to find the money for the tapings
