I'm shocked that it's the case. I honestly thought she was a fake run in. Like, what they do is they have her run out, she gets booed, taken out and then they do the real run in with "insert 5th partner".

Here's the problem though.... If it actually was explained more like "Well, the NXT crowd boos her but the Raw crowd couldn't possibly do that because the NXT audience and the Raw audience are completely different!" which it seems like the case... Y'all know good and damn well WWE is that... I'm not going to say "stupid" because it isn't stupid so much as it is.... Delusional? Oblivious? I mean for WWE to not believe this would mean that WWE has a handle on who actually buys tickets to and watches Raw... ALL. THREE. HOURS. They have to know who their fanbase currently is. Do people really want to argue that the Vincent Kennedy McMahon of 2016 knows who exactly watches his product? Explained by who? WWE? No, by a NEWZ site that knows how clickbait works. There was a post that explained what Meltzer actually said....which pretty much goes along with the same "logic" that WWE has been using for their audience for ages now. But really, it's a company that a while ago legitimately tried to sell shareholders on how Raw and Smackdown had two different audiences in order to make the WWE Network seem like a better prospect. I'm fairly sure Hunner has even come out and said many times how NXT is considered a niche product, which is something I find amusing because what the **** do they think a three hour pro-wrestling program is in 2016? I've said this occasionally but honestly... WWE and Raw in particular? Nobody watches that shit from beginning to end unless you genuinely like the shows or you're a hardcore fan doing it out of habit. Hell, I've seen the topics. Some of y'all can't even watch the show from beginning to end without tapping out. I'd say they're at the point now where the only people who watch are people who are at least going to know what's going on in NXT or know someone who does. I feel like Vince is definitely stuck in the late-90's with his view of the WWE fanbase, you know, back when WWE actually was "mainstream" and you can blatantly push what you wanted onto the audience for a while and enough of the audience would buy it to where it didn't matter that the hardcore fans didn't. Since they've bled off so much of those "casual" fans, when the longtime and hardcore fans shit on something there's no "casual" fan buffer. ...but then I'm just rambling about what I perceive about the WWE fanbase over the years. Is it believable WWE wouldn't anticipate Eva being booed like she is on NXT? It is if they mostly don't follow NXT, mostly don't care for NXT, or if they consider the NXT audience an unholy aberration that has nothing to do with the Raw audience. I don't exactly think they wouldn't because 9 times out of 10 they don't give a shit what goes on in NXT outside of a few prospects, though that wouldn't surprise me. It's much more believable to me that the reaction to Eva would come as a surprise because they've got no clue about who makes up their audience.

It is literally a Total Divas vs. heel divas feud. The only 3 choices left were Nikki who is not ready to come back and may NEVER come back. Mandy who had her first match like 2 months ago and is not at all ready to be thrown onto the main roster (and Eva is what happens when you throw someone out into the main roster before they have even trained to wrestle... and don't let her take time to do so.) or Eva.

Yeah this sounds like it was fed to Meltz to rile up smarks and get her the same kind of heat coming out of this that she does in NXT. They seem to know exactly what they're doing with Eva.

Eva Marie's Main Roster gimmick should be that she comes out riding on Nia Jax's shoulders and they act like Master Blaster.

No way does WWE not know people hate Eva, else she wouldn't be booked like she is in NXT. But the Total Divas audience doesn't hate her, and that's who this match is for.

I guess simply swerve someone not on the total divas cast, be it Bayley to make a surprise debut at Wrestlemania then push her against a heel afterwards, or someone like a Trish Stratus or Lita who can do the one night only deal. I mean, Eva is the best diva on the roster. Why wouldn't they think she would get a babyface reaction over all these other jabronis???
