This sucks, I really wanted her to drop those nasty forearms like it was the budokan in 1994 in Dallas

Chain of karma: -They fire Punk on his wedding day -Punk gets one over on them with the Pipecast -They job out AJ in 33 seconds next week, and then they sue him by proxy -They lose one of their top divas in the crossfire -They respond by giving her record to a shit diva in the worst major reign since Cena's 13 month long one. -Because they dragged it out with someone working hurt, she's forced to retire as well. End result: Their constant attempts to be a dickcheese to Punk and AJ lead to them losing 2 of their top divas. I take umbrage with this part. Nikki was one of the best on the main roster for in-ring work before she went down, and her heel work was pretty decent too. Sure, it took her a while to find her groove, but once she did, she embraced it fully. Nikki >>> AJ

Sometimes I just come into these threads to see how many dickheads there are. This one didn't disappoint.

Moral of the story: Don't make your finisher a move where you drop the full weight of an opponent on your neck.

That's such a shame.
Nikki became pretty damn good in the ring over the last two years.

Moral of the story: Don't make your finisher a move where you drop the full weight of an opponent on your neck. Definitely one of those moves that look harmless in the thick of it but in retrospect it's like, duh, can't be good for the neck, knees or back. Should have stuck with that forearm and that facebuster she did was blunt as shit and ought to have been a finisher.

I don't know what annoys me more. The "ding dong the witch is dead" posts or the "everything about her run was specifically done to smite the name of my goddess AJ" posts.

After not giving a shit about the Bellas' ring work for so long, I will miss Nikki if this story pans out to be true. She came into her own as both a performer and a worker. So it makes me sad that the Lioness will no longer be able to hunt.

Damn shame if it has to end this way, I don't like seeing anyone go out because of injury, whether I enjoyed them or not. It just sucks.
Two things, though. First, if WWE knew but pushed her to keep going for "the record" it's kinda...well, shitty is a good word for it. You don't mess with neck issues, I thought that was pretty concrete.
Second, so for years and years, the Bellas were shown as the be all end all of the division, and now...now they're both gone, but at least we have a few that are being established as important and not just "nobody's on the Bellas level" like we had for a while there, which would just tank the whole thing.

I don't know that I hold her in as high esteem as some, but nonetheless it is sad that yet another prominent wrestler is forced out due to injury. I must admit over the past few years she had improved quite a bit and she certainly deserves credit for that.

She's done enough and she had a great run. Can't really complain about her although I wish her the best with her health.

Most of you are shocked by this? Didn't she have the same exact surgery as Austin, Edge, and Tyson Kidd? She's done, which is a shame because she has improved quite a bit, and if WWE cares about their performers health as much as they say they do then they won't ever allow her back in the ring for the sake of her own well being and quality of life.
Keep the Bellas around as "ambassadors" or whatever PR BS lingo they like to use, keep having them do their Total Divas stuff, whatever, but there's no point in either of them being in the ring anymore. Brie has her husband to worry about and keeps saying how she wants to start a family with him soon, Nikki has her own health to worry about, and they also have business interests outside of WWE. It's just time for them to move on and focus on other things, there's more important things in life than WWE.

Say what you will, but you never want to see another go down in a way that's not their choice. Hopefully WWE will have her, Bryan and Kidd taken care off(steady jobs for life)

I'm not a fan of Nikki, as I found her ring style to be pretty lacking in terms of selling and ring psychology (I think she's one of many wrestlers who focus too much on offense and not enough on the other facets of a match). But I don't understand celebrating her being forced to step away from wrestling because of a major injury, and I think the AJ thing is awfully contrived.

Her promos were more complex than "SARCASTIC CM PUNK IMPERSONATION" and her character was much less 2D. Sure, she might not have been as good in ring, but you've got to look at talent as a total package.
