When it comes to good old fashioned heeling, the Revival gets it.

Not gonna lie I teared up seeing how emotional American Alpha were after the match. I then teared up again when I watched this video. I teared up when they won, and I teared up at this. I started watching NXT just as these two formed a team, and I started to get behind them pretty much at the same time as everyone else on here and in Florida did. I've watched this team from the beginning and so seeing them make it was just wonderful. The match, also, is one of the greatest tag team matches I've ever seen. Gable and Jordan have an amazing way of doing the face in peril spot in the centre of the match for as little time as possible so that it still happens and means something but you don't get bored by it, because it happens in EVERY tag team match ever. Their offense is explosive. And props to the Revival as well. I love both guys, I love how they wrestle, I love their finish, I love their cheating, my only issue is that they just weren't very over before last night.

I think these two teams are custom made for each other.

I know how hyperbolic this sounds, but that match made me believe in wrestling again.
I'm not talking "I've lost my faith" type believing, I'm talking, not analyzing every little moment the way we do these days, not trying to anticipate their plan, not thinking about "good booking", "bad booking" or anything else, I was just enthralled by the match.
I really enjoyed Sami/Nak, but if anyone on that card got a "fight forever" chant from me, it'd be Revival/AA

Considering that The Revival are pretty much a tribute act to old teams R&R faced over the years, it's so gratifying to watch them do it so well. Absolutely, and something like climbing under the ring to get to the other side to take the opponent off of the ring apron is just brilliant. I clapped when they did that. So many little things about them, if I were a casual fan I'd easily believe they've known each other a long time like their backstory says. By having a good tag division, it makes the wrestlers more likely to commit to the tag team to that degree. For a long time in WWE, being a tag wrestler has seemed like the kiss of death. Your team will only get any TV time if they're the champions, and if you're not champions or challengers, you're basically waiting to get broken up and either get a half-assed singles push or dropped altogether. Great to see that changing. It used to seem like wrestlers didn't know how to work tag matches anymore, but it's really that there was a lack of interest.

I saw a comment about how it really felt like a battle between two teams rather than a series of separate one-on-one matches and I think that sums up why it was so good.
