No, but I would say that it will be rather forgettable years from now.

History will be kind to it, when we rewatch it on the network in months or years to come I think a greater appreciation of the woman's match and AJ/Jericho and these matches role in the card will grow. However you can't put on a 6 hr show and main event it with a rest hold style match between two guys who don't mesh and expect the tired audience both at home and in the stadium to go home happy. I enjoyed most of the matches, especially the women's match and the IC title match. I think you hit the nail on the head with the main event, especially after everything we saw leading up to it.

Say that to another poster and you'll be put in time out like a little child. Are we clear?

Far from it, I would say. Everybody bought their A-game and tried their asses off. Shane risked his life countless times, the Divas absolutely killed it, Roman and Trips beat the hell out of each other, Ambrose and Lesnar did the same, and match-wise, it was awesome.

"The people I wanted to win didn't, therefore it was the worst ever." Seriously, grow up. This just in: Other people have differing opinions. More at 8.

I haven't watched it yet but going onto YouTube today spoilt it for me so I have read the results, I'm pretty glad I didn't wait to watch it later.

According to Dallas fans, the Cowboys' stadiums have a hole cut in the roof so God can watch his favorite team on Sunday.
With that in mind, the roof of AT+T was closed tonight because God couldn't bear to watch Roman Reigns win the belt.

No, it wasn't the worst. That spot is reserved for WrestleMania IX

Have they acknowledged or issued a statement on the fact that it overran yet?

Have they acknowledged or issued a statement on the fact that it overran yet? PPV PRoviders must have known, on "Main Event" here in Aus, it was scheduled for 5 hours

I don't think it cracks the top three worst of 9, 11, & 27, but it's pretty close. Basically the IC Title and Women's Title matches are what's salvageable from the show. I've just never seen so many mind boggling decisions in regards to booking. It's like they were just f***ing with the crowd all night long, and I have no idea why. Regardless, it's really given me no reason to start watching again.

I don't think it was one of the worst, just not memorable.
There was some really good matches on the card and as a whole the wrestling was quite good.
The main issue is that there was nothing on this card that really signified a major change or push in the WWE. At the end of the show everything was pretty much status quo. In that respect I don't think it will have a "moment" that everyone will talk about years down the line.
I'd put it middle of the pack. Not bad, just nothing to really make it "great".

29 is still the worst. this one belongs in the running for sure, though.

It had Shane jumping off the cell, the revival of the Women's title, and some fun bouts on the undercard. It's worth a rewatch.

No where near. Change a few results, and people would be praising the hell out of it I'm really not so sure about that. While I think AJ and Sasha should have won, I really dug their matches either way. Brock/Dean was kind of a let down AND Dean should have won. Taker/Shane was a spot with a match in the way. Roman/Trips was another super-plodding who gives a f*** of a main event. Everyone seems to be in agreement that Corbin was the right pick to win the Battle Royale, but it was far from a good match, even compared to the previous two ATGBR's. Lasting memory will be a way past his peak celebrity randomly showing up to take part. The never ending Rock appearances are fun for those there, but it's practically the exact same every year, so not exactly good TV. Ladder match was fun, I don't think many had a problem with it, even though most would have wanted Sami. Yes, there were a handful of good matches, but there was so much WTF-ery. Add to that the last hour of a super long show being on mute and I can see why people would nominate it. Also I don't think winners/losers really change how people feel totally. Look a the praise the women's match is getting even though everyone and their dog thinks it shouldn't have gone to Charlotte. On the other end of that, I don't think Dean winning would have improved that match massively. I mean sure it would have been less demoralizing, but the way that match played out it wouldn't have made him a star one way or the other.

It was plain bad. Very little good on it, but it's not the worst I've stayed up to watch live. (WM27 says hello. I got warned on here for how much I expressed my hatred for it at the time)

On the other end of that, I don't think Dean winning would have improved that match massively. I mean sure it would have been less demoralizing, but the way that match played out it wouldn't have made him a star one way or the other. Let's go through it... (a) U.S. champion Kalisto beat Ryback to retain the United States Title. There was nothing wrong with it, for what it was. (b) Team Total Divas (Brie Bella & Eva Marie & Alicia Fox & Natalya & Paige) beat Team Bad & Blonde (Naomi & Tamina & Lana & Emma & Summer Rae) in a 10-Divas tag match.
This too was fine, a bit clustered, but what would you expect from a 10 Person match that only has 10 mins or so. Gave Brie a nice final moment before going to make some 2nd Generation AmDragons. (c) The Usos beat The Dudleys.Felt stale, needed a gimmick, maybe a "holy shit" moment going into the main broadcast. (1) Zack Ryder captured the Intercontinental Title at 15:23, ending Kevin Owens’s title reign. This too was fine, sure, Sami would have probably been most ideal, but KO v Zayn doesn't need the Title. (2) Chris Jericho beat A.J. Styles at 17:10.Great match, Jericho probably kicked out of 1 too many finishers. On face value, AJ should have won, however I think Jericho is being fed to Roman. AJ certainly didn't lose any momentum out of it. (3) League of Nations (Alberto Del Rio & Sheamus & Rusev w/King Barrett) beat WWE tag champions New Day (Kofi Kingston & Big E. & Xavier Woods) at 10:03 in a non-title six-man tag match.New Day probably should have got the W here, even if by the assistance of the 3rd man. After the match, should have had a beatdown from LON, bringing us to... Afterward, King Barrett gloated about The League’s victory. Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley as Cactus Jack, and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin answered the boast as a surprise trio taking out The League. It was great, no two ways about it. However ND should have won, (they get a boost) LON take them out afterwards (They get a boost) then the Nostalgia act to get the crowd up and about. (4) Brock Lesnar (w/Paul Heyman) beat Dean Ambrose at 13:06 in a No Holds Barred Street Fight. This is one I'm not happy about. I'm happy with Brock winning, however Dean needed to take more damage, and keep kicking out. And the match should have finished with Brock F5ing an absolutely lifeless Dean Ambrose, who had taken 25 minutes of beatdown, and couldn't take anymore. (5) Charlotte retained/retired the Divas Title and became new Women’s champion by beating Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch in a triple threat match at 16:04 following outside involvement by Ric Flair.Get rid of the shenanigans, or give one of the other two the W. Match was brilliant as it was. (6) The Undertaker beat Shane McMahon at 30:05 in a Hell in a Cell match.] Fine for what it was, That Bump will be on tomorrow nights "don't try this at home" clip. It's dissapointing that both stipulations were on one side of the encounter, because people both wanted Shane to win, and Undertaker not to lose. It think it was done well, especially the mark of respect from Taker near the end. (7) Baron Corbin won the Andre the Giant battle royal at 9:41.Awesome. Can't really say "DDP, Shaq, Tatanka took someones spot" because everyone got a spot. (8) The Rock beat Erick Rowan at 0:06 in an impromptu match. The talk is this happened, to get rid of the 18 seconds from the record books. Lovely Gesture to DB. Id have changed things up a bit though, Have Rocky beat Eric, fine.. Then either bring Cena down and do a tag, or have Rock go through Strowman (or Bray) and then lose to the other. Then have the Wyatts go on the attack, and Cena comes in and saves the day. (9) Roman Reigns beat WWE World Hvt. champion Triple H (w/Stephanie McMahon) at 27:11 to capture the WWE World Title.I'm fine with this.. We all saw it coming, and its perfectly fine, just as long as Roman doesn't continue to be Smiley Babyface for the next eternity. If it leads to a Character change for RR, then so be it. On the match, given that it was in the 7th hour of programming for the day, it needed to be either a more fast paced match, or a more violent match (ie Weapons, bumps etc) With just a few tweaks, the show goes from alright, to very decent.

People keep saying AJ/Jericho will help its reputation...why? 27 still gets ripped apart and this was essentially a worse Orton/Punk, especially when you consider Jericho and AJ have done more or less very similar matches 4 times now. That one was definitely weaker than their Smackdown match, for one.

Not even close. Surprised anyone would see it that way.
With the limitations they faced heading in to this year's WM they did great with it.
