Oh man, I'm suddenly reminded of that "patriotic" match with Doink, and.........Mini Macho Man. I had no idea he changed it to hide muscle loss. I think Wrestlemania 7 is the last time he wrestled with the vest off, so I guess he came off the roids in his hiatus. He was never huge anyways so its not like it would have been so obvious. I'm sure, though, that to him it'd have been glaringly obvious to everyone if he didn't wear the shirt. And the break provided, if anything, a perfect chance to hid that reasoning from fans. He came back with a new look - yippee, kids bought that without question.

Anybody remember the Macho Midget and that terrifying horror movie mask they made him wear?

Yeah I was freaked out as that as a kid, I am pretty sure that will have been Dink since he worked as Tiger Jackson in matches in early 1993.. then this.. then he became Dink at Christmas

Not even close to his WMVII attire, but still pretty damn sweet.

So many of his outfits are legit brilliant works of art.
The outfits with the simpler, more solid color schemes are certainly iconic, but I'm partial to the ones that are totally off the wall, almost to the point where the outfit can barely contain the intensity of the neon. It suits the character's personality quite well.

All of them of course. I prefer that era to the one he had in WCW Where he dressed like he raided Elton John's closet.

Here's something I've wondered for a while... How often, if at all, did Savage wear the same attire? My memory of the early Raws is hazy, but before that he always wore a different attire on his televised appearances.
In any case, he had to have had hundreds of different designs.

I feel in his later days he reused outfits. The salmony type coloured one he wore when he faced Yokozuna before WM 10 felt like that had been worn a few times. I'm sure he wore the red white and blue one that I originally posted in a match with Giant Gonzales also

His purple and yellow outfit from 1992 Rumble I liked too. Pretty straight forward colour scheme again. I like him in purple trunks too (Survivor Series 89. Macho King action figure)

That, or the neon had just finally overwhelmed me and I couldn't see straight anymore.

The yellow, green and white jacket he had. I like that one a lot, because when I was 5, I had eye surgery, and my parents bought me a doll that I wanted, and they bought my brother a macho man figure, where he's wearing that jacket

Old white and blue will never be topped IMO.
